Guarantee Cabin results

32 days out on the same cruise and still no assignment. We to have a balcony guarantee. I did notice they opened up more Balcony cabin numbers on the web site in the last couple of days.

 

Date: Feb. 7 2015

Ship: Carnival Conquest

Class of Guarantee: Balcony

Cabin Assigned: Balcony 8C - 8211

Date Assigned: 30 Days before Sailing

Sail Date: 1-18-15 on the Magic

We were originally booked in an Aft balcony on Deck 6, then switched to a Balcony Gty in Nov due to awesome price ($520 per person).

Cabin was assigned on 12-19-14

Vista Deck (Deck 9) Forward, Port. We are very happy.

We did receive the Upsell call a few days ago for an Ocean Suite for $500 more, we declined.....that $500 will be used in the casino/bars/ports.

Imagination 2-19-2015

38 days out

OV GTY

Empress Deck E54 - Category 6D

 

Satisfied with this assignment, although having stayed in E64 before I know we will get some noise from live music in the atrium and the atrium bar.

 

Interesting pattern: we booked several short cruises on Imagination/Inspiration during the Halloween sale, all of which were GTY. For all of our cabins and those of the people traveling with us, we are 9-for-10 in getting rooms on Empress. (The other one was Upper midship for our friends on the Dec 19 Inspiration sailing.) Interesting!

This is our first time using the guarantee! We are pretty lax so it works for us, no stress, just excited and anxious to see what it is! Do you receive an email when it happens or did all of you find out by just checking?

We are 46 days out till our March 1st cruise , people in our group are reporting getting emails about upgrades so I just called , I had booked a guaranteed interior on the Halloween sale and low and behold they offered me an upgrade to a balcony for $200 total price even got to choose my room and deck , picked lido , so now I have balcony for just over $400 pp on the Liberty 7 days . :p Think we lucked as the cruise is just not selling out lots of empty space.

It's a question that comes up all the time, and I thought it'd be nice if there were a thread that people could post to and refer back to when questions come up about Guarantee Cabin Assignments.

 

My hope for the thread would just be a list of facts in the format:

When I booked a Guarantee last April for a cruise in June I called a few weeks later and they told me my cabin number. It's worth a call you might get lucky...

Date Assigned: 2014-12-31 (could have been earlier, just happened to check)

 

Pretty happy with cabin placement as my Mom is prone to motion sickness, so low is good for us.

 

Just wondering...do rooms ever get CHANGED at check-in? Or if you're assigned a room, that's your room? This is my first time booking a guaranteed cabin rate.

Cabin Assigned: U155 6D

Date Assigned: 1/20 (33 days out)

 

We linked reservations with my parents, who got assigned to U153-- adjoining rooms. We get to keep the same rooms for the whole B2B, so I'm happy about that. My parents actually had these exact rooms for our trip in October with my grandmother. I'm very happy with our assignment :)

 

 

I wouldn't say no to a reasonable upgrade, though ;)
