CARNIVAL FREEDOM

1/25/15

DECK 8-VERANDA DECK RM.8397 BALCONY

JUST GOT ASSIGNMENT TODAY! 12/22/14!

Does anyone have any reviews of this stateroom? It is under the Lido deck, & I wanted to know about noise from above(chairs, etc.) as well as how the cabin location is. Usually book my own rooms, but this was during the big sale, so I couldn't pass it up. Hope I made the right decision!

You're 1 deck below Lido, midship, under the rear section of the Buffet area. If you were further forward, under the pool area of the Lido, you might hear chairs above, but you're under the carpeted area of the buffet, so you should be OK.

Date: 01/10/15

Ship: Carnival Sunshine

Class of Guarantee: Ocean View

Cabin Assigned: Ocean View Deck 1 6B

Date Assigned: 17 Days before sail date

Booked in March/Promenade 6D Assigned

Gave this up for GTY with $307 OBC

I hope it's worth it. My husband says as long as we're on a cruise ship it will be. I was getting worried that they were going to stick us in a lifeboat so I guess I should be counting our blessings. : )

I wanted to take advantage of the cyber Monday sale, but I have 2 cabins connecting. I had read that many times when you change to guarantee they keep you in the same cabins, but I didn't want to chance it. Good luck to everyone!

What have you guys paid for guarantee 's on carnival? As I'm looking at the nov 29th one from San Juan and the guarantee is way expensive more than some of the suites for inside guarantee
The guarantee quotes that most people are referring to were different promotions that have occurred in late October through mid December, which is a slow time of the year and Carnival had many different promotions, some of which were better than others, in order to spur last minute bookings. Some people had given up assigned cabins to jump into the guarantee pool in order to save money. We had booked an inside cabin in late August just prior to the ES rate ending for our cruise next month ( 5 months out). Since then, we had two price drops for our 4H category and then we gave it up to jump into the guarantee pool during the Halloween sale. We saved another 220.00 and ended up with a 4G. The bottom line after factoring in OBC is that we're paying 230 pp plus taxes for an inside 4G cabin for an 8 day cruise.

Regarding your 11/29/15 Liberty sailing, there are only 2 porthole cabins left at the same 399 rate under ES as the cheapest inside, they are popular and come highly recommended on these boards. Good luck

Got mine today at 39 days out. 8231 on the Pride. Extended balcony looks like if I had selected it,it would have cost about 750.00 more then I paid. Can anyone tell me about this room?

Booked a balcony guarantee.

Got an 8B on deck 6. Cabin 6284

Room assignment was done today - 34 days out

My friend booked an inside guarantee and got his today too. A 4D on deck 6, a couple doors down from me.

I was worried about location but have the fun shops below me and cabins above so it should be relatively quiet in the room at night :)

I will report for our whole group. We have 16 cabins booked on the Sunshine sail date 1/17/15. We originally all booked Early Saver months ago. Then in December 12 of the cabins gave up their rooms to drop into the guarantee pool(s). We each got between $520 and $640 in OBC per room. It is also worthy to note that we were all linked for dinner. Today, 12/30/14, we were assigned our cabins. They kept us together on deck 8! My son and his friends were assigned the cabins they gave up. Five of the cabins are 8 forward and 7 cabins are 8 aft but we are all on 8 so extremely happy with our cabin assignments!

I've stayed on deck 6 for years never had a problem with noise. We were right above the casino once didn't even have a problem then.
