OCruisers Posted November 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Princess has always had a good program for children and this will make the ones geared for the young ones even better! :) LuLu
nasa1974 Posted November 4, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Sounds exciting. I hope it works and not just for children. On all the cruises the wife and I have been on I've always commented on "wouldn't it be great to dim the lights a little bit and actually see the stars". How many people would be amazed to see the Milky Way instead of just the stars they can see from their back yard. Great opportunity.
azdmelani Posted November 4, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 4, 2014 I love this idea. We're on the Regal in January, so I think we should make the cut! haha
shredie Posted November 4, 2014 #11 Share Posted November 4, 2014 On all the cruises the wife and I have been on I've always commented on "wouldn't it be great to dim the lights a little bit and actually see the stars". How many people would be amazed to see the Milky Way instead of just the stars they can see from their back yard. DH is going to be happy about this. Another opportunity to school me in the constellations (which has been pretty much a dismal failure so far. :p)
atmx093 Posted November 4, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 4, 2014 I hope they'll offer stargazing for our mid-February cruise on the Royal. I'll be all over that. Or maybe they can tie a small boat to the ship and I can just tag along at a safe distance away from the light...
pompeii Posted November 4, 2014 #13 Share Posted November 4, 2014 When I was on the Island earlier this year, I spent some time on a couple of evenings out on the secret deck forward on deck 10. It was dark up there because the bridge is right above it, and the stars were amazing. I saw some shooting stars one night.

yoyosma Posted November 5, 2014 #15 Share Posted November 5, 2014 I am really looking forward to seeing the stars and maybe some Animal Planet tours. But especially the stars. We are doing 3 weeks on the Regal in January and 10 days on the Royal over Easter and I booked forward facing cabins L 101 and L103 on the Regal and L108 on the Royal, just to see the stars from the front of the ship where I am pretty certain it is dark although very windy at night. Since I have lamented the loss of lecturers on Caribbean cruises I will be hoping this helps fill the void a bit.

FawnRiver Posted November 5, 2014 #19 Share Posted November 5, 2014 I doubt we'll see it on our January cruise, but it makes me really excited to see what they'll offer for our Grand Med cruise in September :D
shutterbug63 Posted November 5, 2014 #20 Share Posted November 5, 2014 I'm super excited about the stargazing. My son & I love to walk around the deck and look at the stars and try to figure out what constellations we see by using Pocket Universe on our phone. This will just add to that!
