Oregonhiker Posted December 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Presently cruising POA in Hawaii. So far all dinners spoiled by noise from kitchen. Even Denny's doesn't allow this. Cagney's sounds like your in the kitchen. Complained in Jefferson and waiter just laughed. Concierge and Butler mostly unavailable or unhelpful. Otherwise cruise is great, entertainment great. Just need to close the doors!

And Dennys has a cruise ship - I don't want to go there ! Edited December 10, 2014 by don't-use-real-name
Love my butler Posted December 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2014 And Dennys has a cruise ship - I don't want to go there ! Denny's food is often tastier and faster than many MDR's on NCL ships.
Beaver1975 Posted December 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Denny's food is often tastier and faster than many MDR's on NCL ships. Justify please. Otherwise opinions are just that.
garycarla Posted December 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Justify please. Otherwise opinions are just that. What is there to justify? If he poster likes food from one restaurant better than another, that is what they beleive/prefer.

Va. Plumber Posted December 10, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 10, 2014 To answer OP's question before it was hijacked, it is probably to cut down on potential collisions by busboys and waitstaff. If you have ever watched food being brought into the dining room, the trays are fairly well loaded. Not having to push the door open is one less obstacle. Many restaurants now have in and out doors to preclude such a hazard. P.S. Ask for a table away from the kitchen!
Barb Nahoumi Posted December 10, 2014 #9 Share Posted December 10, 2014 The open doors give diners the opportunity to gaze in and watch the goings-on.
Oregonhiker Posted December 11, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted December 11, 2014 No question that it makes it easier for the busboys, etc, but still noisy for guests. I will talk to management, but I think they are the problem. Also I meant no disrespect for Denny's at least they keep the Dora shut
