Mimiunb Posted February 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Can anyone tell me how much the cab ride would be from the airport to the port?
hancogran Posted February 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Last time we took a taxi from the airport to the port in San Juan, it was approx. $23.00 U.S. They charge either $1 or $1.50 per bag and I think the initial fare is around $

pcur Posted February 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Taxifarefinder.com says $30 from the airport to the dock in Old San Juan. It's $26 - $28 to the Pan American Pier. Yes, they do charge $1 for bags that go in the trunk. Hand luggage is no charge. We flew in late last November.
WhiteSoxFan Posted February 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Saturday it was $27 from the pier to the airport with 6 bags. As stated previously, each bag is $1.00. I assume it is the same both ways as they use a zone system.
Ashland Posted February 2, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) Can anyone tell me how much the cab ride would be from the airport to the port? We just did this exact samething in October. From the airport (SJU) to the Pan-American pier (Zone 4). Our total for 2 adults and 3 bags, gas surcharge & operator's charge was a total of: $25.00. However for the return pier-SJU (Zone 1) it was: $24.00 (no operator's charge)...no idea why. Everything is written out and metered and given to you as you get inline for a taxi and you hand the paper to the driver as he loads your bags in...very easy. Pumbaamd Posted February 2, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2015 We've found the San Juan taxi service to be very well organized, fairly priced and on time. However, when going to the PamAm pier they sometimes take you to the wrong ship. It's a short walk from the RCL pier to the "X" pier, but can be aggravating with bags on a very hot day. Just an FYI. LOL. :D Off topic, but last year when we took the cab to the port in NOLA....we arrived, looked at her, and we looked at each other, and we looked at the pier. There was no ship there. :D We said, "There is no ship, I think this is the wrong pier" She said, "This is the Carnival pier." We said, "We are going to the Royal Caribbean pier." It was very funny, as we were parked there, and all looking at the water passing by, and an empty hole where a ship would normally be. :D
Tofutti Posted February 6, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2015 So will the taxi price include 4 people and our luggage? In other words, no price per person??

Tofutti Posted February 6, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2015 Oh thank you!! That really just answered all my questions. Not going to take the airport transfers through the cruise line, this is much cheaper!
swimgirl1 Posted February 13, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 13, 2015 Did the taxi get you right in front of the ships as does the cruise buses?
pcur Posted February 13, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 13, 2015 Did the taxi get you right in front of the ships as does the cruise buses? Yes, they drop you off right across from the luggage drop-off, which is right next to the entrance to check-in.
