Oceania 2-tier "loyalty" club

Oceania has just made the additional "OBC in lieu of" to our final cruise vacation summary invoice. We obtained our Silver Level status, and this cruise included the promotional PPG. Different departments were involved, it took patience and time to adjust all the credits and amenities. Our personal vacation consultant at Oceania did an outstanding job. Sailing March22!

Does anyone remember when O changed their method for calculating O Club levels? I can't figure out when we achieved Silver level.

 

You can call them and they will tell you when you became Silver.

If you achieved Silver before 1/1/2013, you will get full amount of PPG as OBC

Thanks for the suggestion Paul. The info is not so easily obtained from O or at least not from the agent I spoke to there didn't know. I'm to send an email to him and he will further research it.

I am not sure whether this works with Oceania CSRs but it works like a charm with airlines.

It's called HUACA - Hang Up And Call Again if you get an uninformed agent.

It worked for me just last night. I needed to change a date on an award ticket and I saw availability for the date I needed. The first agent insisted there was no availability. Rather than argue, I thanked her and hung up. The next agent a minute later had no trouble seeing what I knew existed and booked it for me.

You may try this with Oceania because it was an O agent recently who told me when we became Silver - so it can be done :D

I have not made it yet ;)

Due to circumstances we had to cancel a couple of cruises that would have got us to that stage :(

I could have had a free cruise by now if we had not had to cancel some :mad:
