marne-c Posted March 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) CC folks can be very well-informed, so I'm hoping for a definitive answer to a question about Sirena. R-class Sirena will be joining O's fleet in Spring 2016 after a major refurbishment. The question: Will Sirena feature a Culinary Center? None of the other R-class ships do, so I fully expect the answer to be 'No'. But you never know... --Marne P.S. I expect to be on Sirena for her 27 July, 2016 sailing from Lisboa... sitraveler Posted March 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2015 No. R ships do not have it, nor an Artists Loft
Rare ORV Posted March 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Funny you should ask, I just got a BIG GLOSSY booklet(I don't mind them, actually kind of like them) for the Sirena, and it doesn't mention it or show it on the deck plans. I'd say no.
YoHoHo Posted March 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) No. R ships do not have it, nor an Artists Loft I agree with you sitraveler but just to put a fine point on it, I believe as an exception Insignia has an Artist Loft area added to Horizon for the World Cruise. roothy123 Posted March 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Yes, you're right about Insignia's little Artist's Loft. We saw it back in September, although I don't think there were any classes offered. It was a small area with tables in the Insignia Lounge. Mura Posted March 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Then if it proves popular, perhaps they will extend it to the other "R" ships. Or maybe not! Mura

I thought it was going to be in a section of Horizons for the RTW cruises ??
roothy123 Posted March 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 18, 2015 I thought it was going to be in a section of Horizons for the RTW cruises ?? I'm sorry; you're right - Horizons, back of the lounge, where they set up coffee and pastries in the morning. I sometimes went up there to work on my laptop (pictures). Other than people coming in for coffee and pastries, it was quiet up there, and the tables were perfect for a laptop, with at least an outlet or two to plug in. marne-c Posted March 19, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted March 19, 2015 Thanks, all, for your replies. And ORV, I too received that gorgeous Sirena brochure with the sea deities on the cover. No Culinary Center appears on the deck plans. But some wonderfully enticing voyages sure do. I expect to be on one of them! --Marne
