RetiredNTraveling Posted April 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2015 After your last cruise just how long did you keep finding "Laundry Tags"? I just found the last one (I think) this morning and it's been 19 months! :o :p Yes, we do wash at home and still those little buggers keep popping up! Guess I will be finding them until we get home from our next cruise and it starts all over again! :D

Rare azbirdmom Posted April 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Too funny! I usually look for them when the laundry is returned but am not always successful. My hubby just found one when he was ironing a shirt and that was from our cruise in February, so not quite as long but it does make me smile when I find one. lljost Posted April 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2015 That is so funny and so true. I find them for months afterward. More on my husbands clothes than mine but sometimes they show up in the least thought of spot. Or I will put on a pair of shorts and feel something sticking me and there they are. When I get home from a cruise and do laundry, I try to find them all but never do. But it does help transport you for the moment to a happy memory of being on your last cruise... :)
Shogun Posted April 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Hi All Not sure what glue they use, but could think of a lot of uses for it. yours Shogun
drgrinch Posted April 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I've found them as much as a year later. Amazing the glue can be that durable thorough multiple washes yet still peel right off when you pull it without damaging the fabric. I agree - it is a pleasant reminder when you find one after the cruise.
john watson Posted April 13, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I just leave them on because they are usually in a not normally seen area of the garments. Some of my stuff has got more than one label affixed. I use the Brian Hanrahan system to monitor the garments; "I am not allowed to say how many garments joined the wash but I counted them all out and counted them all back". They all returned safely. DrivesLikeMario Posted April 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2015 They're hard and scratchy. I take them off when I find them, but there's always one that slips by and I'll find it many months later. Makes me realize we really don't need as many clothes as we have... timetravler Posted April 13, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2015 When I find them, I always smile as they are a reminder of our last cruise. Some of my clothes I wear only on cruises, so no telling how long those laundry tags are on.:D
OCruisers Posted April 13, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2015 They seem to hide and show up in the strangest places! Like many others, I always smile when I find one. :) LuLu

RetiredNTraveling Posted April 13, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted April 13, 2015 You really need to cruise more often. Of course, I should talk. Got home November 2013 and hoping to sail in October I agree, ;) but we have this problem! That being the $ cost $ aspect of it. :o So we cruise less often than we want, but like SloMotion says, "Travel First Class, if you don't, Your kids will!" (I plagiarized it from him!)

Pam in CA Posted April 13, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 13, 2015 I'm still finding them. Found two last week. Can't remember how long they've been attached.
OCruisers Posted April 13, 2015 #16 Share Posted April 13, 2015 When something is sent out with a tag left on from a previous cruise, wonder if it every causes any confusion. LuLu

socialworker Posted April 14, 2015 #18 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Cruised this past January. Husband found another one just the other day. But I'm not complaining. It's a small inconvenience compared to having to do the laundry myself.
