mrsgthatsme Posted May 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Assuming this will just be select itineraries not all of the itineraries to the places you mentioned? Will this be eventually advertised on Princess' Website? Thanks for the heads up!
MCC retired Posted May 8, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 8, 2015 It will be on the Princess website but TA's will have the sailings earlier on their booking sites and rates a day earlier than Princess.com .

Croptop Posted May 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks for the heads up. I had just started hunting around for a 2016 cruise (either Panama Canal or Caribbean). Now that I know the sale is in the works, I'll hold off on pulling the trigger until then.

metairiegal Posted May 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the info. But, what if it's not a new booking? Edited May 15, 2015 by metairiegal
MCC retired Posted May 15, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks for the info. But, what if it's not a new booking? Princess usually will waive that but your deposit will become non refundable and may lose any promos, like OBC , that the original rate code had. MCC retired Posted May 17, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted May 17, 2015 (edited) Does anyone have any details of this sale like which itineraries will be included and what the promos will be? Your TA has all that info now in POLAR, too many itineraries to post here. Be sure to ask that TA what "they" offer as they are permitted to discount Princess . MCC retired Posted May 19, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted May 19, 2015 Today is May 19th. I do not see the sale promotion anywhere on Princess. The Sale is there on Princess.com when you actually search and price your cruise. Not all sailings or all dates of course.
Colo Cruiser Posted May 19, 2015 #14 Share Posted May 19, 2015 Today is May 19th. I do not see the sale promotion anywhere on Princess. Big "Memorial Day Sale" banner on the main Princess website page.

dam64 Posted May 19, 2015 #16 Share Posted May 19, 2015 If we book during this sale with the non refundable deposit will they give you a rebate if the price drops lower in the months coming closer to the cruise date if not locked in final payment? Tweedy Posted May 19, 2015 #17 Share Posted May 19, 2015 Just saved $1100 per person on our September Hawaii cruise. Amazing!! We lost $300 OBC and our deposit became non-refundable but we have no plans of cancelling and couldn't pass up the incredible price difference even with the loss of the OBC. Debe7ing Posted May 19, 2015 #18 Share Posted May 19, 2015 Thanks for the info! Went to the Princess site, and sure enough it showed we saved almost $500 on our 3 Jan Western Caribbean oceanview, so REALLY great deal!!!! ;)
Dudleydog73 Posted May 19, 2015 #19 Share Posted May 19, 2015 Darn it! Not on mine, of course. Same with ours. The 3 cruises on either side of our date were included, but ours which is the 7th smack dab in the middle is not.
DragonflyCruiser Posted May 19, 2015 #20 Share Posted May 19, 2015 My original price for Hawaii is still less than they are offering now for the same cabin by $200 on cabin and $100 on cabin credit!
EagleRockers Posted May 19, 2015 #21 Share Posted May 19, 2015 I'm not impressed with this sale. I priced two cruises I'm interested in and the pricing two weeks ago was better than what is offered as a sale. And they have eliminated the OBC. Thanks, but no thanks! I agree... the prices I'm getting on the "sale" are nearly $300(Cdn) more pp that what I booked at last week. And did I read somewhere that it's a non-refundable deposit? Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted May 20, 2015 #23 Share Posted May 20, 2015 This one didn't help me. We have a corner aft balcony, and of course that's not a sale category. Plus, I try to avoid the non-refundable deposit sales.
tully07 Posted May 20, 2015 #24 Share Posted May 20, 2015 Sale price isn't much for me, either - roughly $85 per person and the deposit becomes non-refundable. It is the first price drop I've seen for this cruise though.....
cruisegal3 Posted May 21, 2015 #25 Share Posted May 21, 2015 I saved 200.00 today on the Ruby for Sept 2016. It is not part of the Memorial Day sale, but I did a dummy booking anyway, since I was on the site. I thought it was strange that the price I paid (before TA discount) was still listed as current, until I clicked on another Vista suite; the next page had the 200.00 reduction. My TA got the deal for me as soon as I called her. So before this sale ends, I think it's a good idea to look at all pricing for any Princess cruises you have booked. Good luck!
