Length of evening shows

Recommended Posts

Thanks.

Would you recommend the shows for a first time cruiser or are there better things that can be done in the evenings?

Only you know your preferences. I'd go to the all shows so at least you know what they are like.

Of course, go and see what they are all about. You will prefer some of the shows over others - everyone does. There are usually two shows per night (the first evening and the last evening, or an evening port stop might be the exceptions). You can go to the either one and then still have a lot of evening time left. If you are unsure about things, you could take a seat near the back and slip out discreetly if you wish.

So if we have late dining like at 8:30, we should be able to see the earlier shows and still make the dinner seating correct?

Yes. Occasionally, the show for second seating is later, like 10:30pm. However, most of the time we've seen the show for second seating before the show for first seating.

Yes...on this ship, the shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional dining times....if you choose one of those seatings, all the guesswork is take out of it! If you're doing MTD, you'll need to schedule your meals around the show you want to see.

On ships with traditional seating the shows are timed to get you to dinner on time. If you have late seating not all shows are scheduled for before dinner. For example, there are some comedians that are deemed more adult and are usually after dinner.

There are also shows that are scheduled once per night. Love and Marriage show is always around 10-10:30 PM.

Enjoy your cruise.

Some are better than others. Like other posters have said, it is all about your personal preferences. They are certainly worth a look and as Clarea said then you will know if they are your cup of tea or not Most are less than an hour so there will be plenty of evening left to do other things as well. Hope you enjoy your cruise!:)
