Just FYI....

for those who are planning to have spa treatments onboard Celebrity.

If you book in advance (via phone) (no payment in advance required, as was required in the old days), you will receive 10% off of the cost of your services!

It was a pleasant surprise that I was not expecting, as I sailed last week on the Millennium.

Here is the number to call for reservations: 844-860-4662

And here is the link to their services/prices: http://www.canyonranch.com/sites/default/files/i/downloads/atsea/celebrity_cruises_guide_to_services.pdf

We were really pleased with Canyon Ranch onboard the ship.

And their customer service (before sailing) was excellent.

EnJOY! :)

They'd have to knock off more than that to make it worth it for us. We'd always set aside funds for massages and would each get 2-3 during a cruise. Since Canyon Ranch got the contract and boosted the prices, we saved that money for other stuff.

They have discounted specials on board, esp for port days...any time ship is in port. Elite coupons also give a discount.

This may be something nice to do if they open late on one of our overnights, when casino & stores on bd are closed

have enjoyed Canyon Ranch for facials and massage...but still prefer Elemis products which can be purchased on line...

I agree - about the Elemis products!

They are the highest quality!!!

...and the Elite coupon is only good while the ship is in port.

Do they still offer discounted treatments while ship is in port? Used to be three mini treatments etc offered for a special price before, on port days, to tempt you to stay, wondered if this is still in operation now that Canyon ranch took over?

Just read price list - wow!!! Think I will just get my husband to rub my feet!!!

Yes, Elite coupon is also for port days....so it is about the same as the discounted price anyone can pay on port days....so no real Elite benefit ! And no treatment discount for AQ cruisers which would be nice.

I'll have to check the prices..I .thought they were high but ok for a basic massage and facial....which is what I enjoy...nothing fancy. For me Canyon Ranch is better than Steiner...other than product choice. I go early or late on port days...or if we are staying on board on a port day to relax...usually a shuttle port,

can't recall if they offered the combo treatment discounts...our last cruise was in Jan on Connie...

One of my favourite To Do things on a cruise is to have massages.

I usually do a few.

I would not pre book. Every day, there are specials. They do still have the 3 treatments for a decent price. The price may be $109 instead of $99. I really don't remember. Someone else here may.

Whether it is Steiner of Canyon Ranch, I find it is just luck who you get. Some, of cource, are better than others.

They also give discounts if you book the first appointments of the day. I booked massages at 8am on sea days on both the Equinox and the Summit, and I received a discount. All you need to do is ask. It is not advertised anywhere. :D

Be mindful of the actual docking times when you book--the spa receptionist recommended an early time and then wouldn't honor the in-port discount because we docked halfway through the appointment. I was so relaxed by the massage, though, that it didn't bother me much!

Last two posts are something to be minful of....on Reflection they were going to stick to the "ship must actually be in port rule," so I booked a later time. Glad I checked as it was not made clear at time of booking....

On Connie it did not matter...anytime on a port day was OK

also when you book a service there are reasonably priced add ons you can choose

Thanks for the info - I had been trying to find this information on the website but couldn't find it anywhere. Can you tell me what the two price bands refer to - apologies if I'm being dim!

Any idea if the 10% is combinable with the elite coupon?

Usually only one offer/coupon per treatment appt but never hurts to inquire...get all fees promised written on your appt card!

Goodness those prices are higher than on strip prices in Vegas, which are silly high for the services.

Anyone have comparisons to justify the really high prices? I was considering one but now mostly not interested.

How are the spa specials advertised on the Ship? Are they posted the exact day of the sale or the day before? Are they in the dailies or do you have to check with the spa?

I was on the Reflection last month and it was in the dailys the same day. It was $129 for three mini spa treatments- you could mix and match from about 6 different options and choose the ones you wanted.

It was $129 for 50 minutes, plus 18% grat

There are two sets of prices. If treatments are offered in two different times (eg 50 min./80 min.) there will be a set of prices (100/200). The second set of numbers (with cheaper prices) is the price of services when the ship is in port.

We were on the Summit in February and spa employees set up chairs in front of the Oceanview Cafe. They were giving sample 5-minute massages. I loved this because I got to see what different massage therapists were like. Each was offering a special price and had their name on a card when you booked. I found a woman that I really liked on the last port day and had a great massage at a price close to what I would pay at home.

In my experience no not combinable! On port days the Elite discount results in the same price as the port day price. On the Solstice in March I found that I could get a fill & pedi in town on turnaround day for 1/2 of what Canyon Ranch best price without any pressure to buy products. Met 5 others from the ship getting their nails done.

DH got a haircut a lot cheaper in port than on the ship as did a lot of men.
