On our 2011 New England/Canada Cruise on Summit I was walking into the terminal at Cape Liberty and the pier agent stopped me from coming in. All of a sudden to my right they were letting all these other people walk through and I'm saying to myself "what the f."

As I was looking at them all walk through while I am just standing there one of my idols from the 1970's - Harry Wayne Casey better known as KC of KC and the Sunshine Band walked right by me. I was floored.

He and his group of friends as well as his mom were on the cruise with us (as passengers). He is so nice. He hung out at the martini bar with us and took pictures. Something money could not buy. He was only on this sailing because Celebrity had canceled another one of his bookings so they jumped on this one instead.

We have also sailed a few times with comedian Michele Balan - whom I adore from Last Comic Standing. The first time we saw her was on Silhouette and I was over the moon. I loved her on LCS and had voted for her the entire time. We hung out with here at the Molecular Bar. We have seen her on two other cruises and hung out with her and Mark Preston (from the Lettermen) when they were both performing on one of our Summit cruises.

Other than that can't think of anyone else famous or semi-famous who we have cruised with.

As for the episode of the Nanny - I have seen it numerous times. I love it. It's great when the Captain comes over to greet her. I had it on my DVR for a while but since they have gotten a new one. As some one else suggested try You Tube. They have almost everything.

This wasn't on Celebrity, but I did bump into Doris Roberts (Marie on "Everybody Loves Raymond") on an Alaskan Cruise aboard the Radiance of the Seas.

Literally set her on her rear end - walking in line (to the buffet) talking to others, not paying attention and ran right into her. I helped her up, apologized profusely and we both laughed about it. Very nice lady - didn't see her out on the open decks much but you did see her once in a while in port or at a show. I think she tried to keep a low profile.

I was aboard the Millenium several years ago and on the first formal night I noticed John Schneider (from Dukes of Hazard) and his wife. They were on a belated honeymoon.

A few days later, there was a Texas hold'em tournament in the casino. I went down with my $20 and through quite a bit of luck, I ended up at the final table - playing head-to-head against John Schneider. He is a truly nice guy - and a gracious loser! We enjoyed a couple of drinks together after the tournament - with my winnings!

Yes! Last April. He wore red everyday and loved the attention.

He was on Equinox in October as well - and was pretty miffed when all of the attention turned from him to my Husband and son on formal night when they walked past the Martini Bar in full kilt dress!

Several years ago we were on one of the M ships with Edward Villella, former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, Kennendy Center award honoree, and ,at the time, artistic director of the Miami City Ballet. He gave a few talks and one afternoon we actually sat at the same table in the MDR for lunch. It was very special to us as our daughter had won a summer scholarship with the Miami Ballet a few summers before. Both he and his wife, a former Canadian skating champion, were delightful.

We were also on a cruise with Edward Villella (maybe the same cruise) and I recall it was the Maasdam on the Baltic itinerary. Villella was taking his dancers (from the Miami Ballet) to St Petersburg where they were doing some performances before going off on a short European dancing tour. He did allow his dancers to put on some demonstration/shows onboard the cruise.

On a Princess cruise we met Petula Clark (who had just left the West End where she starred in Sunset Blvd). But probably our most interesting celebrity experience (ever) was many years ago when we happened to take our then young DD on the Norway for what happened to be the NBA cruise. Jim Valvano was on that ship recording some TV shows (for the Coast to Coast Show) with the NBA celebrities on the ship. Jim had a daughter the same age as our DD and they quickly became friends. We ended up spending nearly every evening (on that cruise) with the Valvano's and their neighbors (who were also on the cruise). He was one of nicest and most memorable characters I have met. Broke my heart when he died a few short years later.

Mango Mike, ever think that maybe she was just trying to avoid "running into you again" for the rest of the cruise?

No, in fact a general announcement was made that he and his wife had requested total privacy and please not to approach him. We had a fairly rowdy group of 13 people from San Francisco, including the mayor at that time, and we were always having a lot of fun. He and his wife would sit off in the corner by themselves and we thought it was a shame that they weren't interested in participating and having a little levity in their lives!

Just an FYI. I will be on Millennium in December and am also requesting total privacy. I too would not like others to approach me - unless they are serving drinks. Other guests are welcome to report back on this thread if they happen to see me. :D:D:D

Jill from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was on the Reflection Caribbean cruise on March 2013. Traveling with her family.

Do you mean Jill Zarin from NY as there is no Jill on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there's Kim, Kyle, Lisa, Brandi, Yolanda, Taylor, Adrienne, and Camille.

There was a Jill Zarin on the Real Housewives of NY but she's been off for 4 years now.

Santa Claus was on the Silhouette in April!

He was also on our Med cruise last October. He was a riot - it turns out he's from Ontario. He gets a lot of attention and appears to love it.

Gee not many celebrities on Celebrity. I certainly would respect Mr. Armstrong protecting his privacy but IMHO if someone is paid to speak during a cruise they should understand that passenger interaction is part of the gig.

We were on a Princess Carib a few years ago and Davy Jones, Paul Revere, Gary Lewis and others were on board. It was a kick to have DJ next to us on the beach and mentioned to my wife (who had a huge crush in 60's).

She expected him I guess to look like he did in his 20's which none of us can pull off. Anyway sadly he died a few weeks later. They all seemed nice and we just chatted casually. I would think a cruise ship is the last place in the world a real celebrity would want to be.
