She usually does 4 month contracts, so it's a good guess that she will still be there in January, but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

 

I'm hoping someone can directly ask her how much longer she will be on the ship.

Warren was our first CD on our first cruise, Grandeur. Unforgettable guy, great personality, but I heard he retired a while ago and lives back in Canada where he is from.

John Blair was the worst cruise director I'd ever had totally fake. He'd be all smiles with the couple in front of you in line. All buddy buddy. Then when it was our turn to Greet him he'd barley smirk or say a word.

Dennis Charles has been doing the vacation fill-ins on Jewel, so it's a good guess that it will be him. There probably won't be an official announcement until closer to the handover date.

 

BTW - if it is Dennis, we really enjoyed cruising with him!

 

One of my favorite memories of Dennis was he ran a good Quest, but on our week, some guy showed up with several thousand dollars of camera equipment (still and video) Dennis threw him out.

Great Story!

 

I remember Dennis as being an excellent host; a master at warming up the crowd before the evening show, and he's a very good singer. We thought he was very dynamic, stopping to talk to passengers at the gangway when the ship was in port or on the pool deck or wherever. He is the only CD that ever attended a meet-and-mingle on any of my cruises. It seemed that he never slept and was always working hard - very visible - yet very down to earth and not "in your face" or annoying like other CD's.

Navigator OTS - Jerome Sueur November 10 until early January when John Perry returns from his break (exact date?)

 

 

Just heard from Jerome that he is staying on Navigator until March 2016, then vacation for him. John Perry is being assigned to another ship, but Jerome doesn't know which one.
