Flashing glasses???

What are these flashing glasses that I see in some pictures? I think it is at the glow in the dark party or whatever they call it. Do they work once you get home? How much are they?

The ones I've seen have replaceable batteries, so they can continue to work at home.

I have one that is 6 years old and has the original battery. I realize this may be rare. I hand wash it. My grandson uses it often.

They also sell or sold plastic drink containers shaped like the Viking Crown Lounge/funnel. It had a flashing Crown and Anchor logo. :cool:

Those glasses cost around $35 each. :D If you put one in your luggage it will weigh 50.1 pounds.

I have several that are 6 to 7 years old and they still work. There's a switch on the bottom and drinks were served in them. You kept the glass at no additional charge and I have never changed batteries.

I have also seen them at Marshalls before. They were about $3.00 and just plain with no logo. You can buy them in different shapes such as maritini, pilsner, wine, etc.

Mine still working after 5 years/no change of battery/and only cost a few dollars.

The add them into the cost of the drink, or if you have a drink package, they DO charge you for the glass.

 

Usually they have been brought out when doing a sailaway party late night from a port based on my experience.

They usually come w/ drinks, we don't drink but we were able to buy them w/o the drinks for a reasonable price, can't remember how much, but pretty cheap though or we wouldn't have bought them. They were in the middle of the ships selling them

Reading Cruise Critic right now on a sea day aboard Jewel of the Seas while sipping ice water out of my flashing glass! FYI... There is a slot on the battery cover that allows the battery to be replaced although it sounds like that won't be anytime soon.

Since I buy mine at the dollar store I always leave them in my last port of call near a bench after a few seconds they are gone

I bought some for the kids on our Freedom cruise last year. They use them almost daily. We wash them in the dishwasher and they still work. Haven't changed a battery yet. :D Worth the $5 we paid for them.

Didn't know you could buy the official Royal Caribbean flashing glasses at the dollar store.

 

I have one at home that I often bring out when having a few drinks. May have to add to the collection in the near future.

I was reading fast and I didn't realized it was about the drink glasses I though they were talking about glasses for the face lol and no there is no official royal caribbean items at the dollar store
