Lucky TGO Posted October 2, 2015 #76 Share Posted October 2, 2015 You know, that cool sound that was made when you inserted your cruise card upon boarding.:D (As opposed to that nasty sound when it didn't like your card.) When you heard that magic sound, you knew you were cruising! Harry Harry now I remember that "Cool Sound" :D. Harry, Thank You for serving our country & protecting our freedoms!!! Happy sailing to you and your family. Steven_&_Daniel Posted October 2, 2015 #78 Share Posted October 2, 2015 I always get a feeling of excitement and anticipation as I walk down the corridor to our cabin, kind of like coming home. Also, coffee on the balcony in the quiet of the morning with the sea as my view. I've always believed that stepping onto a Princess ship is like coming home. The whole world fades away and you're suddenly in paradise!

RMM34667 Posted October 3, 2015 #81 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Getting out the BIG suitcase & knowing you can pack as much as you want (even if it is only 7 days) cause you are driving to the port with trunk space to spare!!!
olingirl Posted October 3, 2015 #82 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Sighting the ship from your trip down on I95...walking up the gangway...hearing the ship horn as you slip past the breakwater and head for the open sea.... 26 days...:D
BTromboneFrack Posted October 16, 2015 #83 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Hearing " you can go on your cruise " from your doctor. :D Yup. Have to wait a couple of weeks for the final go ahead. I just have to convince the surgeon I won't lift anything heavier than a pina colada or a Guy's Burger.
Rare Musky Ike Posted October 16, 2015 #84 Share Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) The first look out on the new morning to see a different port than you were at yesterday. Edited October 16, 2015 by Musky Ike
Rare gotta cruise again Posted October 16, 2015 #85 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Not telling DH about the Regal Princess ship's horn was going to play the Love Boat theme, being up top right under the Seawitch for sail away, and watching him get misty as the horn blew!! (misty eyed not from the loud noise but because it was fun and unexpected)
Who Knew Posted October 16, 2015 #86 Share Posted October 16, 2015 All of the above! :) Totally agree with stepping off the gangway onto the ship deck. Doesn't matter how long the line to go through security, that first step onto the deck gets me every time. Followed closely by that first step into my cabin. Followed closely by stepping out on the balcony that first time. Followed closely by watching sailaway from our own balcony. Followed by that first walk around the ship, no matter how many times I've sailed on it before. ... And, all of the above posts, lol.
Renmar Posted October 16, 2015 #87 Share Posted October 16, 2015 1: Being retired and healthy enough to cruise. 2: Booking the lowest category OOV and being unexpectedly upgraded to a balcony :D. 3: Putting down your $ 100.00 for your next cruise because you know you going to take an other one. 4: Not having to fly for our upcoming cruise. 5: Having the best TA, she always seems to find the best deals. 6: Finding giftcards in your cabin from your kids that say "We love you, Enjoy". And many more good reasons. Theo
