Our favourite in Hollywood is the Hilton Diplomat (used to be the Westin Diplomat). Great food service and sea views from rooms with direct beach access.

 

Or if wishing a smaller boutique hotel then our favourite is The Pillars.

It depends on what you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend. There is a Marriott right on Hollywood Beach. There is also the Hollywood Beach Resort. Margaritaville just opened as well, so you may be able to get some pretty good deals. There are also several small mom and pop type places up and down the beach.

We like Villa Europa. Nothing fancy but clean and quaint. Not right on the beach but less than half a block away. About right in the middle of the "strip", close to everything.

We love the Marriott too.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza once. Not a bad hotel. Across the road from the beach (access with the condos across the road that are owned by the same company that owns the hotel). 7-11 right next door, Walmart and other stores right across the bridge. Beautiful pool area on the intracoastal waterway and water taxi stop right there. Not a luxury hotel even though it's 4 star on Hotwire. Probably a little cheaper than some of the others mentioned because of being across the road rather than beachfront.

Diplomat, Margaritaville, and the Marriott for large resorts.

 

For smaller mom and pop motels, go to http://www.Sunny.org and look for Small Superior Resorts.
