stargate fan Posted November 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2015 What do you think would the best way to get to S. B. from Mia airport? Gary Taxi. If you're staying at a hotel on SB, have the concierge or front desk call one for you.
AdrenalineRush Posted November 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2015 Another option is the bus Airport flyer $2.65 http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/bus-airport-flyer.asp
Rare sid_9169 Posted November 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2015 Another option is the busAirport flyer $2.65 http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/bus-airport-flyer.asp I second this idea... I have used the Airport flyer bus between MIA and SB on many occasions, and it is without a doubt the easiest and most cost effective means available... Rare Keith1010 Posted November 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2015 What do you think would the best way to get to S. B. from Mia airport? Gary Gary, this is why you should't use the word best. To me best equals a taxi as it is an efficient way to get from the airport to S.B which I am assuming is South Beach. Now if best is cheapest that is a different question. Figure the taxi will cost around $25.00. It is metered so it can vary based on where you are staying and time and day of week. Again best means a lot of different things. zoncom Posted November 8, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2015 Bus also has plenty of luggage racks up front for heavy packers. A very pleasant ride for $2.85 courtesy of FEDS.
trish1c Posted January 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Love the search feature of CC! I was wondering about the luggage aspects of the Airport Flyer but the Q had already been asked. One more Q though . . . where do we purchase tickets on the airport side? We don't want a card just the one ride. Are there machines? A person in a booth? Cash once we board? Thank you knowledgeable folks.

Thank you knowledgeable folks. There is a bus terminal connected to MIA... You take a small subway tram to the bus area and purchase tickets on a vending machine. You can get a single ride only, or a day pass for $5.65. It will issue you a disposable cardboard card in the amount you choose.
trish1c Posted January 15, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Thank you sid. I assumed there were vending machines but I appreciate the confirmation. bouhunter -- we'll be fine. We take public transportation with luggage all the time in multiple cities.

Keith I'm guessing too that "S.B." means South Beach, and NOT South Bend (Indiana). That would be a really long (and expensive) taxi ride.:D:D
