iltutcruiser Posted November 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2015 I just read a review of Navigator and the poster said there were no amenities in their virtual balcony room. I can understand no freebies, but have they taken the shower gel dispensers out also ? Just wondering if I should bring my own soap.

I've seen some ships not have the shower dispensers, but they have always had the bars of soap.

AustinCruise Posted November 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2015 I'm 90% sure there was a gel dispenser in our kids virtual balcony on navigator. Definitely was soap bars.
lcumpire Posted November 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2015 Sorry to change the subject but how was the virtual balcony cabins?
Mrbp1 Posted November 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2015 Sorry to change the subject but how was the virtual balcony cabins? In my opinion, a waste of money. The remote control to turn on and off the screen never did work. The couch was replaced with a chair that sits right next to the screen. Not impressed at all. Don't bother with this useless piece of technology.

Even in a cabin WITH a dispenser, I would so much rather bring my own stuff than use the mystery gym-"quality" stuff I can't identify in the dispensers. Longhorn82 Posted November 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 22, 2015 I always bring my own shampoo. The stuff in the dispenser does not work well if you have any hair. I guess there are no conditioners in it, so it is hard to pull a comb through after. Regarding the Virtual Balcony, I agree it is not worth the extra cost. Just takes away seating. Merion_Mom Posted November 22, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 22, 2015 Even when there are no little bottles/tubes of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel in your cabin, you can ask for them. Most of the time, your cabin steward will be happy to get them for you.

I don't know if you have a problem after swimming or snorkeling but I have found if you take a small spray bottle with very watered down conditioner you can just spritz your hair and be able to comb it right thru!
