What cabin numbers are considered sweet 16 on Silhouette?

There are 8 portside and 8 starboard side 2C cabins on Deck 6 that have larger balconies that extend over the MDR blue jut-out. These are considered partially obstructed views, but the Sky Suites on Deck 6 also are over the jut-out so their verandas have the same obstruction: we were in one of those on our Adriatic cruise and weren't bothered by the blue extension off our veranda.

You can also book the triple and double sized 2C verandas on the angle of the humps midship and forward with lifeboat obstructions that come to the veranda deck or go for obstructed 2Ds on the angle with lifeboats that come to the rail.

Just to clarify, are you talking about the side cabins on the very end of deck 6? These would be 6304 (stbd) & 6305 (prt) on Silhouette; on Solstice/Equinox/Eclipse: 6302 (stbd) & 6303 (prt).

We booked one of these, for our upcoming Mardi Gras cruise. At the time we booked, there were only a handful of balcony cabins left anywhere on the ship, but we had heard that these balconies were very large, and mostly covered (albeit partially obstructed). Hope we made a good choice! ;)

I've only the Solstice deck plan in hand so can say yes 6302 starboard (6303 port) are angled and bigger than veranda cabins 6300-6286 (6301-6287 port) which have larger verandas than other 2Cs except these with the biggest balconies of all 2Cs: 6240,6242,6156, 6158 starboard and 6155, 6157, 6241, 6243 port on the angled part of the midship and forward humps.

We will be in 6240 on our upcoming Solstice cruise and looking forward to the huge veranda even if the view is slightly obstructed looking down:D.

Very good -- thank you for the confirmation! By the time we booked this particular cruise, prices were high, and pickings were slim. I feel like we made a very good choice, now!

Still trying to find that elusive open balcony on the Silouette.

Thanks!

Having been in an Aft Sky suite multiple times on S class ships, just some information to share with you. First, while we enjoyed the suite, the balcony is not covered and very sunny all day. We were not able to comfortably dine or have drinks on it until late evening. It was very hot in the Caribbean. In addition, depending upon the direction of the wind, you might get a lot of soot on the balcony, so do not hang anything on it. Our butler did a good job of cleaning it everyday-but we really didn't use it much as we do not enjoy direct sun.

We didn't mind the long walk to the suite and it was very quiet in the hallway.

Enjoy your cruise.
