Rare BlueRiband Posted December 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2015 There was a similiar question about a month or two ago. A person who knows him answered that he's quite well but for his own reasons doesn't post here anymore.

We were with him recently on QV around the Canaries and in his company every day. Stewart
Rare elmsliebev Posted December 17, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted December 17, 2015 that's good to know. I did have a link to his newer blogs but that seems to have disappeared. I do enjoy reading his travel writing. Hopefully we will bump him to him at sea one day.
Underwatr Posted December 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2015 The website where he used to post his trips changed formats and doesn't seem to carry that content any more.
BigMac1953 Posted December 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2015 that's good to know. I did have a link to his newer blogs but that seems to have disappeared. I do enjoy reading his travel writing. Hopefully we will bump him to him at sea one day. He actually started a blog on our November trip, but then realised that nobody was reading it or commenting, so he stopped. I did mention to him that the "Blog" button on the site he uses had vanished. He gave me the link, but it was cumbersome. He was going to take the matter up with those who run the site, but so far nothing has happened.
MCC retired Posted December 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Yes I would like to see him return here to CC for his cruise adventures. Certainly more readers here than the BLOG he is on :)
Solent Girl Posted December 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Such a shame - we were on the Queen Victoria's cruise to the Canaries in November and would loved to have met him; had we known he was on board. We have followed his many cruise adventures over the years and have chuckled at his humorous writing. Missing your blogs Jim, come back to us

lannp Posted December 17, 2015 #11 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I couldn't find the blog either and the Capn sent me the link. He is investigating for further posts about where he will post.
Solent Girl Posted December 17, 2015 #12 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Thank you for posting the pictures Stewart, love your suite! I remember seeing him around the ship and I think we sat at the next table to him in the restaurant for lunch one day. Hope you enjoyed the cruise as much as we did - till the next time :) PS Did you 'win' the Cunard flag at the silent auction?

Host Hattie Posted December 17, 2015 #15 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I have enjoyed reading his blogs in the past and I hope he will let us know where and when future ones will be published. As long as that site complies with our guidelines, it would be good to hear how he is enjoying his travels.
Underwatr Posted December 17, 2015 #16 Share Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Hattie, I'm unsure but I think in its earlier incarnation the URL for the site he used was auto-blocked by the CC forum software. Testing: http://www.cruisemeet.co.uk. Seems to work now, but they don't have blogs like his any more. Host Hattie Posted December 17, 2015 #17 Share Posted December 17, 2015 It's certainly not blocking it now, I will need to check whether it is allowed as a link. As you say the format and content looks quite different.

BigMac1953 Posted October 11, 2023 #25 Share Posted October 11, 2023 A couple of months ago, he was on a MSC round Britain cruise, so we met up in Greenock and went into Glasgow. After lunch, I took him back to his ship. Not quite as mobile as he once was, but otherwise fine and in good fettle. Stewart
