This will be our first cruise on the Breeze (last cruise with Carnival was the Fascination...I wasn't a fan...just not a lot offered, small ship and decor was worn and dated). With that being said, I am hoping the Breeze will have more of a "wow" factor. For the ones that have cruised the Breeze what are some of your favorite things and aspects on board this ship?

Love the decor on Breeze! My first Carnival cruise was also on a Fantasy class ship and I totally understand how you feel. My boyfriend swore he'd never sail Carnival again because he hated the ship and I convinced him to try Breeze. He did a total turnaround. We've sailed her twice and are booked on Sunshine in April.

There's Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Cucina de Capitano, and Fat Jimmy's C-Side BBQ. Those are my favorite places to eat. (Cucina is open embarkation day and lunch is free! We skip the buffet and eat there. It's always empty!)

I've never done mini golf, but we like the ropes course. We also like the dive in movies.

Bonsai sushi is good. It's a charge though.

We really like the Breeze overall. We would sail her again.

I was on the breeze a couple years ago, and we actually enjoyed the 4D movie theater. We actually bought the unlimited pass, but then it broke down the next day. We got in a couple times while they were testing and it seemed to be fine, but it remained closed for the cruise, and we got a refund on our pass. But we did see about 4 shows since the day we bought it was horrible weather and you couldn't sit outside. It was a fun thing to do at least once.

Hello, we loved the Bonsai Sushi. We would love to see it on all the ships. Great presentation and delicious. The next favorite is the Cloud 9 Spa. It is restricted and I love the pool. Check it out https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj8goDRsovKAhUNzGMKHbboDNEQFggqMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.carnival.com%2Fonboard%2Fcloud-9-thalassotherapy-pool&usg=AFQjCNEkelhEYTzGS2RsgwrHUs8RWj72WA

Love it, love it, love it. Afterwards you can lay on the hot tiled lounges and dry in minutes. Enjoy!

You'll love the Breeze! There's so much to do and it's a beautiful ship. The decor is much more serene than the loud Vegas style decor of older Carnival ships. My favorite place on board is the Cloud9 Spa (we bought weekly passes last time and liked it so much that we're in a Spa Balcony cabin this time). Deck 5 has a ton of fun things - Red Frog Rum Bar (trivia, live music, corn hole and pub games), Comedy Club (line up early), Piano Bar (SO much fun!). There's also the Taste bar, library, Thrill Theater, etc, etc.

On the outside decks, Deck 5 has several cantilevered hot tubs that often aren't crowded. If you can't get a lounger by the pools, the decks above and below have lots of ocean-facing loungers. Serenity Deck is also nice if you want to get away from kids, but we found it windy unless we were in port. Of course Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana Cantina are favorites on the lido deck.

Do they play the same "movie" each time? Can you tell me more about the 4D theater like what movie they play, how long it last, purpose of getting a week pass instead of just once? Thanks :)

They're short movies, like 15-20 minutes each. They had a few different movies but it was basically the same 5 or so movies all week, but they would rotate the times. I forget how much one movie cost, maybe around $5 or $6? The week pass was around $30 if I remember. With the week pass you can go to as many movies as you want, whereas otherwise you would have to pay per viewing. We had quite a bit of OBC that cruise so we we bought the week pass initially. To be honest though, if we didn't have the bad weather, I doubt we would have bought the week pass, I much prefer laying on a lounge chair in the sun. But we are going on the breeze again at the end of the month, and we'll probably go at least once just for fun, but I don't think we would buy a week pass again.

As a disclaimer though, I haven't been on the breeze in a couple years so things may have changed.

She is just an awesome ship all around. The Decor is light and airy with a very Caribbean feel. Tons of food options both free and additional charge. The waterworks area is amazing for kids. Big screen is awesome to watch at night.

It would be difficult not to have a great time on the ship.

They played maybe 6 different movies throughout the week and just rotated the days/times played. Only certain movies would play on Monday then repeat on Wednesday (for example). The price is $7.95 per movie or $14.95 for an unlimited pass.

I agree with all the other posters its a great ship we cruised a few months ago . PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to the Italian restaurant for lunch it was awesome and I'm not a real Italian food lover. The lasagna was so good I had it for a few days !!

I also liked that it never felt crowded because of so many places to eat and so much to do

The casino was good too they have a lot of new slots that we have here in Atlantic City but have never seen on a cruise ship

Enjoy

Any examples? Do they have the normal Gold Fish, Penguins and so on? I remember going on the Dream and they had this wacky game about cows (Moola something or other, would have to look it up) and they drop down and although it looked like it was a very old game, that thing paid out ever time I was on it and it was awesome. It was the first (and last) time I have ever encountered it on a cruise ship. We have one here at the local Hollywood Casino and I play it all the time. LOL :p

Things I Loved About My Cruise:

1. Sushi spot was moderately priced with a good night time vibe. Also open late. Try the short rib.

2. Italian spot was a good option for lunch. Fresh made to order pasta for free. The lasage was very good.

3. Guys Burger no explaination needed.

4. Steakhouse selections in the MDR. A good option for steakhouse flare when you have a large family but want something different. My next trip I plan to. Put the kid in camp carnival and hit the actual steakhouse.

5. Redfrog pub grub was a good way to mix it up after getting back from port. Very cheap but high quality.

6. Movies on Lido was a good way to unwind with the family at night.

7. Night owls was open late so you could drop off the kids and have adult time at a reasonable price.

8. Omelette station for bfast.

9. BLT on the room service menu.

10. The hub app is the way to go.

11. The lemonade was actually good. Didn't mind drinking it for 8 days.

Things That Need Improvement:

1. Drop a few card tables and add more craps and roulette tables.

2. Go digital review for pictures. If you did look for pics daily it was banannas trying to find them later.

3. Expand room service menu even if I have to pay for some items.

Just off the Breeze a couple days ago. I definitely agree with what everyone has been saying. The few additional things I'd add are:

- If you like Indian food then Tandoor is great. Some items were a bit spicy, but it was always excellent and the longest line I ever saw was 3 people

- If you want a unique experience then the Behind the Fun tour is outstanding. It's a 3.5 hour tour through the areas of the ship that passengers normally are not allowed to go to. You get a Q&A session with people at each stop including with the Captain on the bridge of the ship. This takes place the morning of the last sea day

- Digital previews of all the photos taken on ship are now available in the Carnival Hub app. We were told this that we were the first ones to get this on the Jan 24th cruise

- Hot tubs on the Lanai are always much less crowded than the ones up on top decks

With the Dive-in Movies, is the screen under the retractable roof?

Two questions:

1). Italian for lunch. Was there a charge or is this complimentary?

2). Is the lasagna bolognese or more traditional with less meat?

Thanks!

There isn't a retractable roof on the Breeze. The screen is out in the open if I recall!

Correct me, please, for some of those that know the fleet better, but the only retractable roof I have seen was over the aft pool on the Triumph so on the smaller ships. I like that the aft pool is more open to the ocean on the larger ships! SO beautiful!

The Breeze was the best cruise ship we have ever been on (and we have done the Disney Dream). My wife and kids loved playing all the games in the Red Frog Pub (the pub sliders game was their favorite). Also, in the Red Frog Pub, they play real trivia every night - fishbowl drink or beer tube to the winners - and trade papers to grade. The SportSquare area was also amazing - mini-golf, corn hole, foosball, pool, ropes course, a bar, hot dog stand, and video games all in one space! My kids also loved the WaterWorks -- the Twister slide on the Breeze has a different design and is a legit great slide - very fast. The Breeze got the 88 Keys show last year, and it is my favorite show I have seen on a Carnival Ship (surpassing Epic Rock and Dancing in the Street). It also has Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana Cantina, which is a must for us now. The Breeze is truly a ship that has something for everyone.

We LOVED the Thrill Theater! We all got the unlimited pass and was in there a couple times a day. My baby even loved it, laughed his head off ad the movement and wind and effects.
