The Fascination doesn't have the Penthouse Owners Suites, they only have Grand Suites and I also would like to know the category your friend originally booked, I would have to say high category balcony?

All of the above says you are quite wrong.

He was upgraded from a Suite, not sure which type though. To my understanding only the Fantasy class ships have these types of rooms. I have seen pictures from the email carnival sent with his confirmation. According to the email it's 916 sq ft. It's not an option you can purchase but must be offered.

I will post pics when we get back. I hope to do a review.

The email and the YouTube videos I have seen say that you are incorrect.

We had one of the owner's suites on Fantasy. They don't show on the ship's deck plans. We had a junior suite and an inside booked when we were offered the owner's suite. OP, I hope your friend enjoys it - it's an experience, starting when you get your private escort onto the ship. And it's a great party space - we hosted a party for folks from our roll call. We ordered two buckets of beer and some snacks from room service, while DH raided the Lido deck for cheese, lunchmeats and some sides. Another roll call member brought some bottles of wine. Lots of fun and a great memory.

The PH suites on the Fantasy class aren't on the website. They are a deck above Lido and have windows that overlook Lido.

Actually, they are
two
decks above the Lido Deck.

Lido is deck 10, these are on Deck 12 (Sports Deck).

I promise you--you are wrong. There are actually 2 of them. We're sailing on the Fascination on the 30th and we also offered the upsell. Just FYI-to upgrade from a basic balcony it was approximately +350/night for a total of +$1750 for the upgrade.

We will be leaving on Saturday. I really hope to do a review so maybe I can post some pictures of the actual room he is in. Enjoy your trip! I'm hoping for calm seas and sunny weather, but it isn't looking good! :(

We are cruising with 3 other families on the Fascination, leaving on the 16th. None have ever cruise before. They called my friend and offered him the Penthouse Owners Suite! I can't wait to see it! He didn't tell me how I have it cost him though!

please take ear plugs--very noisy early am when they start dragging chairs and the joggers start pounding the deck

I figured it would be one of the noisier rooms on the ship with the Lido deck being directly below it.

You need an escort in order to find it!

I wondered if you had to have a "special key" to access it. LOL!

DH and I had PH-1 on the Inspiration 3 years ago and absolutely loved it. It was Christmas weekend (3-day cruise out of Miami) and my DB and DSIL were also on the ship, so it was fun to have an 800 square foot cabin to entertain them in. It was not noisy at all. 100 square foot deck that overlooked the Lido pool area. We were escorted by Guest Services when we boarded, so very special. We had a Junior Suite booked and the upsell was $1,200 and we grabbed it. Hey, it was Christmas after all. Definitely worth it and we would do it again.
