Regal - Smoking area

Aft dipping pool deck along with all the soot. :(

So true. I hope they did something with the Regal after the nasty stuff that was floating on my balcony (true aft).

I also think that there is a smoking area on Deck 17 (?) outside. Don't quote me though.:)

I haven't been on the Regal yet but I have been on her twin, the Royal, so I assume they will have the same smoking areas. The Churchill lounge is a small room on deck 6 port side near the forward elevators. There is an outside smoking area on deck 7 starboard side aft. Look for stainless steel ash trays mounted on the wall. There is another bigger outside smoking area on deck 17 aft that has tables, chairs, and loungers. You can get coffee there in the morning.

I have not ever seen a smoking area in any of the lounges but I wouldn't swear that there isn't one. The smoking section in the casino is small and will not allow smoking on formal nights.

I will be sparking up a premium cigar on the fantail in 30 days!

That is absolutely gross.

I haven't yet been on the Regal or Royal, but on all of the other Princess ships I have sailed, the smoking of cigars and pipes is prohibited except in Churchill's. This is always clearly spelled out in the first day's Patter.

I hope you reconsider.

If the smoking rules are drastically different on the Regal and the Royal, then I stand corrected.

The smoking rules are the same on the Regal as on the Royal. Cigars and pipes present more of a fire threat than cigarettes and are confined to Churchill's on all Princess ships.

I never realized that. I've seen guys smoking them on the aft section from time to time and since it didn't create any odor problems it seemed OK.

Cigars and ppes smell really bad if you are downwind from them on the promenade deck. This ruins the fresh air, at sea experience.

Thanks for the info on where you can smoke.

I just wish the non-Smokes would keep their 2 cents to themselves, no one ask for your opinions.

just ask where they could smoke. If you don’t like to smell it, don’t go in the few small areas that smokers can go!

I wish Princess would not allow smoking in the casino....even though there is a smoking bar right next door it seems that the chimneys like to congregate in the casino and smoke and not gamble....it is hard to avoid the smell because it floats out of the casino into other areas of the ship too.....

It's become the new indoor smoking room for many smokers. They sit in front of a slot machine pretending to play.

I wish they would put doors on the casino to keep the smoke out of the Piazza.

There are some ships where it nauseating to go to the PSD.

If you check the Princess website, it states that cigars can indeed be enjoyed on deck

Bill

Thanks Bill! I have always enjoyed a fine cigar on the Sports or Sky decks of the CP and CB. As I recall you could smoke anywhere on the starboard side open decks. I've never had any crew member call me out for smoking. I am always careful not to blow smoke in the direction of others and always mind my ash.

Is it lonely up there on your pedestal? The man said he was going to smoke a cigar (in an OUTSIDE area, by the way) not slaughter a cow. I don't think your condescension was necessary. Wow.

Now a non smoker, I find the smell of alcohol offensive. So I stay away from it. However I know when I used to smoke too much it never changed my behaviour, drinking too much alcohol - work it out. Each to their own, if it offends you stay away don't lecture others or walk through the smoking area coughing and waving hands around.

Ninety five percent of the ship is non-smoking. If you don't like the smoking in the casino, don't go in there. Smokers do not congregate in the casino and not gamble, if fact it's just the opposite.

Please research cruise lines that are completely non-smoking or deal with it!!!!

Personally, I prefer a Premium Cigar (hate the cheap ones) or pipe over cigarettes (or perfume). Sometimes when in smoking areas with loads of cigarette smokers it is fun to smoke a nice big cigar (when permitted) and watch the reaction of the cigarette smokers. But alas, since DW does not like cigar (or any other smoke) my opportunities are limited :(.

I rather smell that smoking odor than your passing of wind any day:D

The Regal has a great smoking area on dec 17 I believe at the back. It's got lots of padded seats. Coffee in am. Other than that small area in casino and Churchills. Think on one side of ship on deck 7 they have those things on wall. Have a great cruise:)
