crusinpsychRN Posted January 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2016 It's been such a long time we've been getting these it's time they change it up. I give mine away.

sandij Posted January 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2016 We got the chocolate plate last year about this time, a couple strawberries, some cookies and something else that apparently didn't impress me or I'd remember it.
disneylynn Posted January 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I got them last week on the Breeze. Our gift was a Carnival travel bag. Love it!
Sue Do-Over Posted January 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 24, 2016 We either get sticky, mushy strawberries, or a plate of chocolate desserts... a couple of cookies, a couple pieces of chocolate candy, and a gooey gelatin kind of cube of something. We'd rather just have a plate of cookies!

zqvol Posted January 24, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 24, 2016 DW is allergic to strawberries, so even if we get them, they are immediately taken out of the cabin and placed in the hall. Such a waste of money. CCL, should provide options or an opt out feature to avoid the waste.
Alabaster Cruiser Posted January 24, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Last year on the Sunshine we received only one plate. Both of us are platinum and have always gotten one plate each. When I asked about it at guest services I was told that it is policy for only one plate when 2 platinums are in one cabin. I had never had this happen before. Granted I was going to give one plate to my husband's sister in another cabin---but----if both are platinum both should receive the plates. We both got the gifts and pins. funinthesun1964 Posted January 24, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I didn't get the plate on my Oct. 31st Pride cruise. It may have been a case of room steward not delivering or having otherwise been missed somehow. I didn't miss them though. More food would be the last thing I would need! JohnSpo Posted January 24, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 24, 2016 I received the chocolate plate on my Conquest sailing this past November. It was a nice plate so I could sample something sweet.

Two Plats = two plates. But, IMO not worth the time to complain.
vizman274 Posted January 24, 2016 #17 Share Posted January 24, 2016 Just off the Glory yesterday, My wife and I received one desert plate delivered to our cabin, no strawberries, none on ship.
jmcancruise Posted January 25, 2016 #18 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I work in the grocery business. Major shortage in strawberries available for sale in our area. Perhaps this is the reason for just one plate per room. DH and I will both be platinum on our next sailing, I would be rather put out if we only got one plate between us. idlenote Posted January 25, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 25, 2016 We have always got one plate for the two of us which is just fine, that way we only have to give the one uneaten plate back to the steward the next morning.

Interesting. I wonder if it's because I'm traveling with my domestic partner (20 years) separate last names, two males, both Platinum. Either way, it is one choc. strawberry plate, bottle water, pin, gift, drink coupon, etc. per Platnum. If you didn't get two of them, you have every right to ask for the second one. Retired_to_Cruise Posted January 25, 2016 #22 Share Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) We took four cruises last year (2015) and were on a B2B on the Breeze over the last two weeks this month and received the plates (one for each of us) every single cruise. There were no strawberries the last two weeks, but that is probably due to the scarcity of that fruit right now. Every other time we had them and they were big and juicy.
