Royal - Mediterranean B2B, Port or Starboard side.

Hi all,first time on the Royal and first time for the Mediterranean .

Doing the 14 day Rome-Rome (7 day B2B )in Sept .

 

Looking for advice, should we book a Port or Starboard side balcony.

For those that have done the Mediterranean is there a preference.

No preference unless you are sailing into Venice, but you aren't. When you are not sailing into and out of port, you will not be close enough to land to have a view. Exception is the Straits of Messina, between Italy and Sicily. But that is often done at night. EM

I agree. I dont think there is a real difference. Most Med cruises are so port intensive that you don't have lots of opportunity to hang out on a balcony.

Agree. Venice is one of the VERY few places in the world where the side of the ship matter.

Like the others, to me it only really matters if you have a day time sailing in or out of Venice.

Either side will be perfect.

 

I would put more emphasis on where on the deck your room will be located rather than which side.
