I also have mine with HL..if you login to your account and send them a secure email from there with the details, ship, cruise number booking reference HL will sort it direct with P&O for you..they did for me at least :)

HI All, We also have ours with HL. Took the plunge late last year and have never looked back. We just ring up HL with our cruise booking reference and they take it from there. Extremely helpful and efficient. Best thing we have ever bought.:D

Thanks for the update, Pennbank.

Once our brokers notify Carnival of our application and send the necessary proof, do you know how long does it take before it is applied to our booking and are we notified of it by email?

If you ask for email confirmation it is usually sent the same day. You also receive a revised P&O invoice showing the additional OBC which is sent to whoever you booked with so it might take a week before you receive it.

As BrianI replied,

however when I have used a TA I have had to ask the TA if it has been applied and only then a revised P&O Invoice has been emailed, When booking direct The Carnival department automatically re sends.

I hadn't heard anything from Carnival/P&O after a good week, so I have emailed the shareholders dept Carnival to ask if it has been applied.

I have another booking to get it applied to now, so asked about that too - and asked if I have to go back to my broker and ask them to send confirmation again or whether the last email suffices.

I booked via a PCS at P&O.

Pleased to see you're making the most of it Scriv. :D

You say you've another booking in the pipeline. The share holder benefits will only be applied once you have made full payment - so depending on how far ahead your next cruise is you might not be eligible to have it applied - yet. But don't forget to apply when you do pay the balance but you will have to submit current evidence of your share holding at that time. I'm sure you won't forget though! ;)

I'm having the same problem, I posted mine to get there for the 1st March and I'm still waiting. (Its Princess but they all get posted to Carnival in Southampton.) My last two lots were applied within a week.

CCFC I was wondering whether it's because of the Dividend dates or other deadlines in March?

kruzseeka - yes, I am making full use of it lol. I paid the balance only yesterday for our cruise to Iceland in June, so took the opportunity to apply and enquire about using the email sent only last week instead of having to get the broker to write in again.

When using a Travel Agent, P&O re issue the Booking confirmation to them.

When using P&O website or Phone they will email Booking Confirmation to you. (Usually)

I found you have to ring the travel agent to ask if the credit has been applied and then ask them to send you another invoice. With Princess all your credits show on the personaliser.

Nearly two weeks now and its not been applied, have you had any luck Scriv?

Thank you all that email address worked wonders, got my $250 applied today :)

You will probably need to contact whoever you booked with Scriv for a new invoice, I did last time and will more than likely have to again though its showing on my (Princess) personaliser.

We have tried to get the benefits applied to our cruise, but it's like pulling teeth, we have followed the information on P&O's Q&A site about how to apply for the benefit, had an email from them and they need to see proof of share holding, but it clearly states that if you hold a Carnival share cert you don't need to send them a copy, they ask you to fax it to them, are we still living in 1985 or is it as I suspect 2016 and the fax machine is a thing of the past, tried to call up to speak to the lady dealing with it all but OH no she doesn't have dealings with the public by telephone, now we have to wait for the customer service people to investigate.

Just a bit stressed over it all thought it would be as simple as it says on the P&O web site.

Glad I didn't leave it late to apply as we have a few weeks to sort it all out before we go

Sorry to read of your problems. however the shareholder dept is usually excellent. For some reason they obviously can not verify your share holding.

If you do not wish to use a fax, you could always send a copy by post to

Shareholder Benefits Team

Carnival UK

100 Harbour Parade

Southampton

Hampshire

SO15 1ST

Fax. 023 8065 7360

with the required information as asked here

The benefit has been extended for 2016

Mine is with P &O lol. I will see what happens when I get my cabin allocated then contact them. Glad you are sorted Mike.

My last application was for Britannia in December, I had to ask the travel agent for a revised invoice which I printed out and took with me just in case the credit wasn't there, belt and braces!
