Now look who's setting themselves up as moderator...

And you call me judgemental of others...

So much hypocrisy... Good show!

Yes...I was beginning to wonder just how long it was going to take for you to figure out that I was doing the same thing to you that you were so quick to criticize others for.

Now do you see how annoying it is?

When you ignore the opinions of others you make yourself ignorant. Never a good thing, IMHO.

I suspect that had you simply allowed those of us who were on the cruise to comment without being so judgmental, all of this would have been avoided.

We were also on this cruise and I must say she's a beautiful ship. We loved the Mojito Bar. The cabin 14804 was nicely appointed and spacious enough for the my wife and myself. The balcony is tiny but we knew that going in. The swimming pool area is totally inadequate. The lounge chairs were all taken or covered with towels by 7:30 am. We were never able to get near the pool all week long. We ate in the main dining room 3 times and never got a very good meal. I've never complained about the MDR before but the new menus are very limited and food quality was poor. Having all the activities, trivia, games , etc. in the atrium also did not work for us. to much activity to pay attention to the show or game. We still had a great cruise thanks to being with great friends, but I doubt we would cruise on this ship again. The itinerary is too limited and the ship too crowded.

Was the food quality (or lack thereof) because of taste, temperature. or some other reason? Just curious.

I haven't sailed Escape (yet) but I agree about the current itinerary. Maybe when Getaway leaves, there will be more variety.

Perhaps you're a good candidate for the Haven...

It was much more limited selection , I got the chicken one night in Taste and it was not real warm and very greasy. In the Manhattan room the vegetables were so overcooked they were mushy and totally tasteless

These big ships can only dock at a few places, how many times can you go to the Bahamas.

I am afraid the Haven is out of my vacation budget. I have 2 more cruises booked, after that we'll see.

OP thank you for your review and thanks to others who pipped in.

We will be on her in October. It will be our first mega ship and was wondering if you could tell me where there might be a nice quite place to visit with friends and have a drink or two. We normally love the pool area bar but this cruise we are sailing with some friends we have not seen in years and I know we are going to want to sit and visit

I was on the 2/6-2/13 sailing and loved the ship. I spent most of my time in Vibe but walked the waterfront (deck 8) in the morning and post lunch and it was empty with lots of places to sit and chat. There was very comfortable wicker furniture in a central area and also the restaurant areas and outdoor bars. I saw a few people reading or just relaxing and 1 or 2 recognizing that it was 5 o'clock somewhere

Above the pool deck, there were tables, but not sure how quiet they would be or how quiet the outdoor garden cafe area would be. There is also a bar, hot tub and seating right outside Vibe on deck 19 which was much quieter than the main pool area

The brew house was also almost empty during the day with comfortable seating. I saw one person reading and two others playing cards. Not sure how quiet the skyline bar area would be during the day, as it is proximal to the casino, but it also had a great seating in the back.

As the company you keep makes the cruise, I'm sure you'll gave a great time wherever you decide to hang out and chat. Enjoy your Escape!

I have to say I've been on CC for a while, and read all the posts about the changes to NCL. We're NCL platinum. We took this last cruise, Feb 6th, with my SIL who has never cruised before. It's really a different perspective. She had $50 OBC, UDP, and 4 days SDP from promos. She was staying in a studio.

She bought a Cruise Next certificate on day 4. She spent 7.95 for iConcierge. She had to look for other things in the gift shop to buy, to spend her $50. She loved the free shows.

It's still not bad when you're not expecting anything other than what they offer now.

As stated before, BOTH posters were on, and were discussing, the SAME CRUISE...the one mentioned in the thread title. I fail to see how your post is "in line" with the thread title?

There are four (4) people on this thread (so far) who were on this cruise. I don't see how any of their opinions would be unacceptable given that the common shared cruise IS the topic...

The poster didn't really talk about the cruise, just that the stateroom was awful. To me the post has merit, but on it's own thread, not where it showed. You read it differently and I can respect that view.

The difference between "the poster didn't talk about the cruise" and "the poster didn't really talk about the cruise" is only argumentative semantics. Reread the post...it is spot on topic.

I still maintain that comments about the cruise and/or any aspects of it are on topic while condemnations of other posters are not.
