muleevans Posted February 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2016 I have a cruised booked (using a TA) for Jan. 2017 and I am booked with the Casino rate. If I happen to see some additional "percs" being offered, can I cancel then rebook (keeping my original cabin) and still keep the casino rate ? Has anyone been able to do this ?? Thanks for any help. Most of the time for us the casino rate is better price.....that being said you would have to determine if the perks are worth the rebook and if you cancel and rebook your cabin goes back into inventory and you might loose it........... some perks ( for us) in the past have been combinable with casino rate ( like free gratuities) but the sip and sale was not for one cruise we had booked rules in 2017 could be different

Nope. They will take away the casino rate and give you whatever promo it is. It's never been worth it to me.
Rare TracieABD Posted February 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Do you have a TA who will negotiate for you?
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted February 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2016 If the casino rate is combinable with the currently offered promo, yes. That's only if there's still casino rate availability for your sailing, though.
gatorguy56 Posted February 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2016 What is the casino rate? I've never heard that term before.
Working 2 Cruise Posted February 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2016 What is the casino rate? I've never heard that term before. That's for a few selected cruisers, often repeat cruisers. If you haven't cruised often with Princess, it's not applicable.
camper49 Posted November 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 3, 2016 How do you know what rate you are booked under?
CruisingJs Posted November 3, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2016 I've had a casino rate on a few cruises and it just depends on the promotion. The sip and sail isn't combinable but I have gotten the 3 for free added to a casino rate booking. It also depends on how hard your TA works for you. On our upcoming cruise, we were able to get 3 for free added to our casino rate booking while others were not. I did send my TA the promotion that said it was combinable and she used that to convince Princess after they initially said no.
