Allure of the Seas Live March 13-27 -- High Tides and Great Vibes

Recommended Posts

I'm staying onboard (virtually at least) with you this week!!

Excited for the western itinerary as that is our Allure itinerary in June.

Very interested in Falmouth - as we have not been there previously. Also looking forward in getting a first hand look at Labadee. Have been there many times but none since they built the new pier. Thrilled for no more long tinder lines - but bummed that they sacrificed my go to beach to build the new pier.....

If I wasn't married I might worry about long tinder lines, but no concerns for me. Labadee will be a beach day and Falmouth will be a day in the port area.

Too funny...I forgot you were doing a back to back so your time for 'muster drill' post confused me at first. Duh! How amazing to be on this ship for two weeks.

Sounds like you almost missed embarkation. Captan Johnny would have left you behind.

I thought all the musters on Oasis class were inside. Hope the rain stopped for the Aqua Theatre crowd.

Thanks for the Suite Lounge/Coastal Kitchen scope. I think I know where I will be spending a fair amount of time. Great room.

Do you know if they have a "real" full bar or if they are just restricted to the limited brands that you get for the Diamond Happy Hour? The bottle selection did not look that big.

Thanks and smooth sailing to Labadee!

If I have a chance I will check it out, but no promises. I suspect it is limited, but maybe a bit better than the Diamond lounge. They do serve from 11am and I have seen people leaving the lounge with drinks.

I'll be following along this week as well. Just to tide me over to boarding Anthem next week. [emoji6]

Western is our favorite itinerary, so I'm interested in seeing what you do in Falmouth (we usually just walk around) and Cozumel. Discovered Paradise Beach in September and loved it!

You will need to wait and see. We aren't 100% sure what will happen yet either.

Matt....here are the bar menus for the Suite Lounge on Oasis. It's a full bar. The first one shows the complimentary offerings. Second one is what's available for purchase. Beer, Wine, Champagne, Soda and Bottled Water are available from 11am - 11pm and complimentary mixed drinks from the first menu are available from 5:00 - 8:30 pm. Enjoy.....we love CK and the SL.

Someone asked about compasses and I have been saving them. I have not saved the kids planner from the first week. I will do my best to keep them from this week.

Many years ago I swore that I'd never sail on an Oasis class ship. Once we did, it is hard to sail on anything else. I hope you enjoy this class as much as we do. Hopefully this thread will get you amped up for your sailing in May.

Thanks for taking us along on your amazing vacation. Enjoy week 2. :)

I've included a few random shots that I saw during the back to back turnaround.

Food and supply trucks waiting to deliver.

More supplies.

This must be the Brinks truck that delivers all the money that they're going to give away this week in the casino. Ha ha.

Confiscated items table. Anyone needing an extension cord? The lady manning the table said the best things had already been picked up.

Lumber is being loaded in the front door with an internal crane. I would assume this lumber is going to be used in Labadie. I don't think the brig has a wood workshop and I sure don't plan on finding out

Nor are irons, kitchen counter mixers, blenders and vacuums. All of which she said had been confiscated at some point over the years.

Seriously- With electronics being so commonly brought on board. There often aren't enough outlets to meet their energy-consumption needs.

Outlets are often lacking in the cabins. Maybe the new Allure is an exception.

How many outlets are there in a typical cabin?

More random pics from today.

You've remember the gnomes of Central Park on Oasis. Allure has geckos in Central Park.

No shaming needed here.

Besides another celebrity sighting something else is going on here. This smaller yacht needs to join her friends.

Not enough, but perhaps this is a better discussion for the main boards. Perhaps the Chief would answer there with his better skills in nautical engineering.

We use one of these as well. We have 3 iPads, 1 iPhone, a GoPro another camera, a blow dryer and a few other electronic items and until we got this we were always unplugging something to plug in another item.

Not so funny would be seeing this at full at capacity.

It doesn't look scary and hurtful until they get get it positioned beside the aqua theatre pool.

No worries. The chief is great in answering these type of questions and there is obviously some inherent electrical over heating concerns being the reason to why they confiscate these items that should be at home anyway. :)

The last of the random photos.

There was a panel open on deck 15 near the aft elevators and this is what I saw. Amazing to see the writing of the workers and tradesmen wrong almost 7 years ago.
