Port Evergades to MIA

Hello. Hope all is well. I have seen a few posts about MIA to Port Everglades but nothing really on the other way.

What does it cost to take the cruise ship shuttle from the port to MIA. We are sailing in Feb 2017 which is a long way away but we are just trying to figure out flights, etc.

Also, what would be safe flight time out of MIA. (We would be flying to Vancouver so it will be a long day and would like to get to Vancouver at a civil time)

Thanks!

What a cruise ship shuttle costs us going to vary by cruise line. Perhaps asking on the board for the cruise line involved would be helpful.

I can bet a paycheck a non-cruise line shuttle (several mentioned on threads here, like QLS, for example ) will be cheaper.

Also discussed here regularly. ...would not recommend a flight before noon out of Miami, coming from Port Everglades.

Don't book a flight out of MIA before 1:00 if you want to avoid stress. This will allow for delays.

Don't book your shuttle to the port or hotel thru the cruiseline. Can be done easily , for less cost ( about 15$ per person) and more efficiently, by booking on your own. We used QLS . Great service to and from.

The airports issue licenses for transportation companies on a very limited basis, so many of the popular shuttle companies cannot go to MIA. Sometimes the cruiseline shuttles and Uber are the best bet for such a long ride.

Well what time you book the flight depends on a couple of factors.

What mode of transportation you use to get off the ship.

What ship you are arriving on (for example the very large RCI ships offload much earlier then other ships) and even what day you are arriving.

Also what airline you are taking as Air Canada requires an earlier check in then other lines.

So often we advise Noon but depending on these factors 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM might be better.

Please give us more specifics.

The ride from PE to MIA will take about an hour - hopefully Saturday traffic will be kind to you.

A taxi will run about $75-80 on the meter; Uber should be under $50 unless surge pricing is in effect.

Shared shuttle service from Go Airport, Super Shuttle and American shuttle will run about $30+ per person. Private car service from Go airport, Holland Limo and Larry's Limos will run close to or just over taxi fare - for a much nicer ride.

This is one less frequently travelled route where the cruise line transfer bus may be a good option.
