Library on the Grand

Does the library have a good selection of new fiction novels? Since it is now part of a tea

Room, it doesn't sound like it would be very large. We are use to sailing on Holland which

Has an extensive library with big leather chairs and large print book sections,etc. would

rather not bring books if the library has some decent ones to read. Thank you for your help.

I don't recall the library on the Grand as being very large. If there have been changes I doubt it got bigger.

 

I take electronic books on my phone and/or tablet.

Typically the libraries on Princess ships do not have much of a selection of new books.

The Grand Library has more books than

other Princess ships that have the library

and internet combined.

Not sure if the Grand has large print like

Holland does.

 

Don't think any of the Princess libraries compare

to the Holland ships that have the big libraries.

I remember the Grand's library as pretty unimpressive if you are looking for a book to read- I would plan to bring my own reading material if I were you!

When I was on the Grand, the "library" seemed so insignificant that one would miss it if you didn't know it was there. Better off taking your own books!

It's across from the Crown Grill. Has table and chairs.

 

Don't get the tea there at tea time, they charge.

Free in dining room at tea time plus more food.

As a library, the one on the Grand is not impressive. The only Princess ship with a decent library is the Pacific Princess.

Are you referring to the current library which is part of the Leaves tea room or the former library which was in a small room by itself?

With the advent of tablets that have the capacity to hold many books, the use of libraries on cruise ships has declined as many passengers bring their Nooks, Kindles, etc. with them.

 

But even before then, Princess libraries had essentially no recent books, fiction or non-fiction.
