CruiserBruce Posted April 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Far better to ask this on the P&O board.
Bonnie J. Posted April 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2016 I don't know about P&O but on most ships wine MUST be in your carry on. A friend got her wine taken out of her suitcase and she didn't get it back until the last night. It is one bottle per person over 21. Its up to you if the beds are together or apart. If they are together and you don't like that, your room steward will move them apart. Formal nights ate usually the 2nd and next to last night. WE usually have breakfast & lunch in the buffet. It just takes too long in the dining room for those meals. If you don't like what is offered in the buffet, just go to the dining room. Sometimes the dining room is not open when you're in ports though.
Nitemare Posted April 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Your cruise documents should have this information. If not, your travel agent definitely can answer this kind of question.
RiotAct Posted April 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2016 Far better to ask this on the P&O board. You mean the Oceania board?
choc56uk Posted April 4, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 4, 2016 You mean the Oceania board? There isn't an Oceana board We don't gave an Agent .... We booked direct with P&O
kitty9 Posted April 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2016 You mean the Oceania board? No, there are two different Oceana/Oceania's. Oceana is a cruise ship that's part of P&O and Oceania is a full out cruise line.
jocap Posted April 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2016 There's no problem with taking any alcohol on board, but put it in your hand luggage. However- you're going to Prosecco land, so I'd just buy it at each port. You can take as much as you want on board- within reason (probably stop you if you had crates of the stuff :D) However, the alcohol prices on board are the same as pub prices, and the P&O Prosecco is quite good.. perhaps you'll be better off with just a small amount, seeing as you're flying, and then buy at you're first port. There's no problems bringing it back on board. We've not had much trouble with the beds set up as double, but you can always ask your cabin steward to change them if you don't like it. The Beach House is splendid; it costs £5, and there's certain items which are extra, such as the lobster etc kebab... try the steak cooked on lava.. ;) Formal nights are usually on sea days... your cruise personaliser will tell you how many there are. They are well kept, but if you want to opt out, go to the buffet, Beach House or Glass House. Enjoy!
Nitemare Posted April 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2016 There isn't an Oceana board We don't gave an Agent .... We booked direct with P&O Now you know another reason why you should use an agent. They don't cost anything, they are great at answering all questions, they give super advice, and they may even save you money.

Langley Cruisers Posted April 4, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2016 I don't know about P&O but on most ships wine MUST be in your carry on. A friend got her wine taken out of her suitcase and she didn't get it back until the last night. What line was this? Was wine permitted to be taken on board? I mean, if it was permitted and she was not smuggling, there was no reason to hold her wine. She should have complained to Guest Services.
