"First Time in Suite"

Awesome! Congratulations!

Priority embarkation, tendering and debarkation.

I like to ask the butler to empty the fridge and keep a pitcher of ice water inside.

Breakfast and lunch in either Cagney's or Moderno (depends on ship) for suite guests.

Priority seating for shows.

Basically, the butler will take care of any needs inside the suite and the concierge will handle requests outside of the suite.

Here's a few other things I had heard:

1. Will we get "treats" delivered to our suite daily?

2. Can we get breakfast delivered from the suite restaurant (which is Cagney's without paying room service additional charges?

3. Is there a special elevator to disembark for parts and to leave the ship?

4. Will we have superior toiletries in the suite?

Thanks all!

Yes to all, enjoy! Also feel free to let your Butler now what treats you would like them to deliver. Can Tea sandwiches can be chocolate covered strawberries can be Chips and dip or chocolate croissants candy M&Ms and gummy bears anything you want. My favorite or tea sandwiches. I love the tuna or chicken salad or turkey club or BLT little sandwiches

Yes to 1-3.

4: They switched to Bvgari but I wouldn't call them superior. I only used the soap and lotion, but the lotion was not very moisturizing. I would definitely take my own toiletries. I've read people complaining about the smell, but it seemed to fade quickly.

ETA: I'd actually rate the lotion as terrible. I've never had such dry skin on a cruise.

However it is superior to what you get in any other cabin that is not a suite.

Thanks everyone! Super excited. This cruise was originally planned for last summer and my dear 3 year old granddaughter was in an accident and had to have brain surgery last May so no travelling for her.

This is the "replacement" cruise and we are all thrilled. She is doing fabulous and that is the best of all!

3. Is there a special elevator to disembark for parts and to leave the ship? Maybe. If you use a crew elevator, the concierge will escort you on it - it's not something you do on your own.

4. Will we have superior toiletries in the suite? yes, Bvlgari.

Thanks all!

Basically, as a suite guest, if you have any issue, take it to concierge and it will get resolved somehow or another.

Have fun!

cagneys is mentioned as perk for bfast and lunch for haven guests. does this mean they normally arent open to the public for those time or that it's free for haven vs public paying?

trying to figure out the perk

Cagney's is not open to non-suite guests for breakfast and lunch, just suite guests. When the are open for dinner, suite guests pay just like everyone else.

Two different situations since we're talking about 2 different class ships. Dawn is an older ship, no Haven, so suite guests on the older, smaller ships like the Dawn, dine in Cagney's/Modernos for breakfast and lunch. Haven guests on the Mega ships, think Breakaway, dine in the Haven and anywhere else they wish to, as far as Brkfst and lunch go.

Look for the suites check in line. They will check you in and escort you on the ship to the suites restaurant.

Have your breakfast and lunch at the suites restaurant.

On Oort days, we have our butler do his white tablecloth room service. There are breakfast cards in the room, and you can write whatever you want on it (DuPont limit yourself to the check boxes). For example we order 2 eggs over easy, filet steak mediunpm, side of bacon, fresh fruit, Diet Pepsi. And egg white omelette with spinach and tomatoes, wheat toast with strawberry jam, cranberry juice.

If you have a specific snack, ask your butler. Crisps. M&Ms. He will also bring the snack-of-the-day (sandwiches, cheeses, candies) and fresh fruit. Ask for your favorites.

If there is something special you want to do, ask the concierge. They will book dinner reservations and ShoreEx for you.

Always ask.mthe worst they can say is "no, sorry can not do".

Enjoy your cruise. And take every advantage of your suites experience.

Btw: you must tip your butler and concierge separately. They are not part of the DSC pool.

Great to hear about your granddaughter.

I was on the Dawn in December and loved the ship. What suite are you in. I was in an aft penthouse and loved every minute of it.

Tip, when you get to the port make sure you tell them you are in a suite and, even so, they might try to send you to the regular line. The suite check in for December was on the far right at the end of the check ins and then they will escort you to the suite lounge.

To answer O.P.s question about disembarking at ports: Concierge will send info to suite. On Dawn we met at La Cucina and we led to service elevator to

Deck 4 where we bypassed long line through security.

At end of cruise, you will meet in one of the lounges and be led to gangway and security bypassing long line of other passengers.

Yes, it is a perk for suite guests, but remember breakfast is free (sans some room service items) for everyone on the ship, just not in Cagney's. I usually only go to Cagney's on Embarkation day for lunch and disembarkation day for breakfast, because the menu is the same every day and I like to go to the buffet for more variety on the other days. Oh wow, didn't know they could deliver breakfast from Cagney's, that's awesome to know! Just give me an unlimited supply of the French Press coffee :D

Congrats to the OP, I hope you have a wonderful time. We had an aft suite on the Jade and the Pearl, and ordered breakfast in our room several times. The butler would put it on the table in the room, but then we would take it outside and eat on our balcony. Wonderful memories, hope you have a great time.

They have a lovely cold buffet breakfast with fruits, cheeses, meats. And a hot menu (but order what you want). Eggs with a petite breakfast filet (or two).
