dfish Posted April 9, 2016 #77 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I think I saw movement away from the pier.
Rare rafinmd Posted April 9, 2016 #78 Share Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) The first time I saw the Veendam in person was while she was doing Bermuda from New York. I was leaving on QM2 the next day and saw Veendam headed down the Hudson Tooting like crazy at some sailboats getting in the way. The scene in Ft. Lauderdale reminds me of that. Looks like movement. dfish Posted April 9, 2016 #79 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I'm sure we're missing a toot or two at the traffic today.

Rare rafinmd Posted April 9, 2016 #81 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I'm sure we're missing a toot or two at the traffic today. I wonder who the Captain is. I guess not Pieter Bos. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted April 9, 2016 #82 Share Posted April 9, 2016 That fresh coat of paint is looking good. None of the usual scrapes from rubbing up against docks. Roy

G&G Posted April 10, 2016 #90 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Sometime when you're back on line, please let us know how the Veendam tooted. Roy No toots. I believe we had a medical emergency that delayed us an hour. Post drydock: ship in great condition. New carpet, reburb elevators except rail fell off while in it. New napkins at Lido look like dish towels and new LARGE juice glasses at breakfast. Yea.
