Just got the call from the upgrade fairy and went from a guarantee balcony to a suite for $400 (total for three people) for our June 4th cruise on the Valor. The best part is not having to wait on FTTF to open up anymore!!!

Congrats on your upsell. You will still want to keep looking for FTTF. The only benefit you get with a suite is priority embarkation and debarkation. No dedicated line at Guest Services, your room will not be ready upon boarding, no priority tendering, etc.

Congratulations! That is a good deal I think. I got a call last year too after we booked but I didn't think it was worth the money for what they were offering. We also started getting calls from Carnival when we hadn't booked for this year. She stayed with it and called back a couple of times when we couldn't book right away and then of all time, when we were online about to book lol... Somehow I think they must know you are looking at it. So we gave her the business and she actually did get us a good deal.

All I care about the FTTF for on this cruise is embarking and debarking. There are no tender ports and it isn't worth $60 for the possibility I may need guest services..

Oh, OK. Your room won't be ready and your luggage won't be delivered Priority though so just be prepared for that. I never plan on going to GS, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny in case you do. But as long as those things aren't important, then yeah, save the $60.

We are on valor this coming sat got the upsell call a while back got our first ever suite...sweet... I kept the fttf. Our Nov cruise we had to miss a port. The GS line was horrible for a few days. And debark was a breeze. Plus luggage right away. And makes me feel good knowing I have it. I hope you enjoy your upsell as much as I am looking forward to mine.

If you log in with your VIFP number, they do know when you access their site. Next time don't use your VIVP number or don't log in if you don't want the phone calls.

It's $60 now? It wasn't worth it to me at $50, so I never paid for it.

And congrats to those of you with the upsells.

Will be sailing on the Sunshine on the 16th of April. Had a Balcony, and received a call to upgrade to a Suite for 300 hundred more. I liked the location better for that cabin, since the Balcony we had was the last one on the 8th deck at the front right by the bridge, now we are near the elevators, forward. Well worth the upgrade price for it.

I got an up sell while talking to them (I guess it's still the same?) over the weekend for a casino offer I didn't know I had. Upgraded from a premium balcony to a ocean suite for $150. :). Super excited. Kept out FTTF as well.
