HI-C-Dubs Posted April 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Aloha everyone! I've heard from many posts that there are comedians on board, but I'm not quite sure where to find these peddlers of laughter! Of course, I've never been on a cruise ship before either. So, the questions are: - Where do you find a good laugh on the Ruby? - Are the comedians worth the time? - Who's your favorite Princess comedian, and where/when did you hear him/her? Thanks for any advice and information ahead of time!:D
Working 2 Cruise Posted April 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2016 The entertainment will be listed in the Patter, the Princess daily, which will be in your cabin on embarkation and delivered to your cabin every night. It will list which entertainment is offered, at which venues and at what times. Make sure to read it!

skynight Posted April 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Aloha everyone! Thanks for any advice and information ahead of time!:D As posted by another all the show times and locations are listed in the Princess Patter. You can also get the free app, Princess@Sea, for your smart device that allows you to get all the day's activities. Most comics are in the Princess Theater, but there may be a show in Explorer's Lounge. Comedy shows do get crowded. Most of the comics have good family material, but there are a few that have 'old' material. Shows in the 8:00/8:30 time slot are the most crowded and you have to arrive at least 30 mins early. capriccio Posted April 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Here are two recent threads on favorite comedians on Princess: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2335723 and http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2268218. Comedians move from ship to ship, often only spending a few days on board.

OCruisers Posted April 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Aloha everyone! Thanks for any advice and information ahead of time!:D 1) Where the comedians are performing will be listed in Patter. 2) Some are better than others. 3) Al Katz is our favorite and always well worth going to his shows. HI-C-Dubs Posted April 20, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Thanks for all the helpful (and funny) feedback! I figured it's in the Patter but I'm looking on someone's recent Ruby Princess Patter uploads and I don't see the comedians really 'shown' in it. I guess I gotta kind of know who they are? There's one that's "Improv Comedy and Mind-Blowing Acrobatics with Uber Rossi".... in the Piazza? Obviously we aren't on the cruise for comedy, but would love to at least know where we can find it :p So I guess when we get on board, we will have to ask around.
