Dive-In burger question

horrendous I say... PLUS the wait with a beeper is off the chart.. who wants to wait 20-30 minutes( I'm not kidding) for a lousy burger when the rest of the people you're with are eating their lunch.. count how many beepers are missing from the rack before you place an order... you'll see after you tried it... as much as I love a nice cheeseburger-cheeseburger and fries I will NOT use the Dive-in.. at least it's been that way the many times(27x) we've been on the Maasdam

best burger on the ship ..Pinnacle Grill for lunch..

Having done both on numerous occasions

Better about Guy's Burgers:

Faster

Station where you can get your own toppings, sauces, etc

Better about Dive In:

Cooked to order

Better variety of choices

They also have some pretty cool hotdogs

The cheese sauce!! :)

Tied:

Both have great fries. Different styles but both are really good

You've been on Maasdam 27 times since they rolled out the Dive In concept?! That's close to a dozen cruises a year. Very impressive!

I can't compare the Dive In to Guy's, never having cruised on Carnival, but I've enjoyed the Dive In's burgers and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so. The fries are ok, nothing exceptional, but the poutine they serve on the Canada/New England run is the best I've had. :)

Have to agree with Fouremco. Just off the last Caribbean cruise of the Zuiderdam. Never waited more than 5 minutes. Ruth, I agree! The frizzled onions are fantastic with or without the hot dog.

In March 2015 I did a side to side cruise with Carnival and Hal.

Three of us think Guy's wins ! Happier service, better burgers, great fries plus awesome toppings bar ( love those sautéed mushrooms).

Of course food is subjective but we found a better experience with Guy's.

Haven't been on carnival so I can't compare the two but boy, oh boy, are the burgers and dogs great at the Dive In! And everyone's taste is different but the fries are out of this world. Sure wish I could get my hands on the recipe for the Dive In sauce!

I get them on the burgers but have never thought about on the side. I know what I'm doing next cruise :)

…I know what I'm doing next cruise :)

They served them in a box, the same as the French Fried one.

Ask for a well cook onions ring on the side… and enjoy !

A few times a year won't kill me.

I hope.

so funny but maybe not funny. A comedian I heard once said that when you are in a nursing home in a diaper you will say to yourself, "I should have had the hot dog instead of the bean sprouts."

Sometimes quality of life is way more important that quantity of life.
