CVU Posted May 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2016 RCL has a transfer you can book with them, cabs are $35 CAN flat rate to the pier and the Canada Line train station is a block+ away from the pier. The train leaves from YVR and takes less than 30 min. A 2-Zone Fare on the Train. Extra Transit surcharge of $5 Each fare from YVR but not going to YVR. http://www.translink.ca/en/Fares-and-Passes/Canada-Line-YVR-AddFare.aspx http://www.translink.ca/en/Fares-and-Passes.aspx
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted May 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I recommend Aerocar hired car service to the port in Vancouver; it's comparable in price to a taxi. For Seward to Anchorage, you're looking at a 2.5-4 hour journey. I highly recommend the train; it's longer but beautifully scenic and relaxing. The cruise line train will depart in the morning but will cost more. Booking directly through the Alaska Railroad will save you money, but the train doesn't depart Seward until 6 PM. If you go that route, you can visit Exit Glacier, walk around the tiny town, and visit the Sea Life Center before boarding the train. Very simple, very cheap... 2 zone fare as mentioned. $4 CAD pp, $8 CAD total. Total of $6.23 USD was taken out of my credit card for the transaction. Much cheaper than a cab. I'm sure YVR to pier would be just as simple. Tim Edited May 12, 2016 by cruisin4kicks
FunCruiser56 Posted May 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2016 We too used the train in Vancouver pier to airport, was so easy. We each had a LG suitcase and a small rolling carry on and felt the short walk was comfortable. Unless it's very rainy then go for the train! Ashley_M Posted May 12, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I live in Vancouver and the Canada Line train is by far the best way to travel between YVR and downtown Vancouver. Cheap and easy.
dani negreanu Posted May 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Can you recommend airport tranfer options for Seward to Anchorage? For Seward to Anchorage we used: http://www.sewardalaskabus.com/Seward_Anchorage_Transfer.htm We had an early afternoon flight, and found the price very competitive.
