CruiserBruce Posted May 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Just a quick search around this board will reveal any and all "secrets", although there aren't any, in the day of the internet and Cruise Critic.
Loreto Posted May 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Will be first cruise on the Rotterdam. Are there ant secrets, musts you can share? I am just off the Rotterdam May 14th, 21 day cruise. She is a lovely ship with a warm and friendly crew. I will say the bread pudding was the best I have had on any ship. Attention to detail was everywhere. We had a port intensive itinerary, so didn't spend any time with onboard activities. No other "secrets" to share...enjoy your cruise! RuthC Posted May 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Will be first cruise on the Rotterdam. Are there ant secrets, musts you can share? For example? If you could narrow down a few things you want to know about, perhaps we can provide some answers.
saltshell Posted May 16, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Couldn't find find anything in forum search. A link would be appreciated if anyone has one. Ruth, I've got your past 2619 cabin. HAL agent noted size and asked how I found it; I looked at deck plans and it appeared to be a good choice. Nothing special about ship info desired, just know past cruisers often have otherwise non-published information.
mame42 Posted May 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2016 The delicious hot and cold canapé platters (Yes, PLATTERS!) served during Happy Hour in the Crow's Nest make a meal by themselves. And you can ask for seconds.

ricruise Posted May 17, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2016 We will be sailing on her for the first time in October and possibly due to the fact that she is currently located in Europe there do not appear to be many threads about her. Some of my specific questions are how do people find the Lido layout? Other ships have more separate stations that allow quicker access, does the Rotterdam layout cause congestion? Any information on the casino? I tend to spend most nights there and would love to see photos or hear about the types of slots they have. The aft Retreat area seems to get a lot of negative feedback although it does look interesting. Do they show movies on the big screen every night? Thanks in advance. saltshell Posted May 18, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted May 18, 2016 Can anyone tell me about the Cannelito and the Pinnacle. On a 9 night cruise any one night better than the other?
