Mel1707 Posted May 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Yep, I know my thread name sounds weird, but I'd really like to know if my C2 cabin (8059) will have a shower curtain or a glass door. I absolutely loathe shower curtains and it seems from what people have said, that Aqua cabins have glass shower doors, but I can't find any mention about this for Concierge cabins! Does anyone know?? I booked this trip on a bit of a whim and am now freaking out about the condition of the ship and cabins (my fault for lack of research)! My last cruise was on the MSC Divina and somehow I feel this cruise won't compare. I am in Alaska but, which I am super excited about! Scenery will undoubtedly be better. Thanks in advance! FlorenceItaly Posted May 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2016 I am sorry to tell you shower curtain. I hope this will not discourage you too much. Alaska is so beautiful. The service from Celebrity is top notch and you are in for a treat.
Mel1707 Posted May 20, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Ah really! Darn it! Is it true that Aqua have glass? Maybe I'll see if I can upgrade......
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted May 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Yes, AQ cabins have glass doors. They leak like crazy.
jonsmum Posted May 20, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Is it only the S class Conciege rooms that have glass doors then? We were in CC on Solstice and had glass doors - beautiful bathroom.
simon stingray Posted May 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 20, 2016 The showers on M class ships are quite large though. We never had a problem with the curtain getting in the way.

BigB0882 Posted May 20, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Be careful switching to Aqua. Our CC cabin on Infinity is a MUCH better location than the Aqua class cabins. An aft balcony for me in Alaska is far more important than a glass shower door.
Mel1707 Posted May 21, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted May 21, 2016 I've asked my TA to find out 1 - if an upgrade is even possible and 2 - if so, for how much. Whilst our current cabin is in a nice mid ship position, I don't believe it's anything special in terms of location. It's nice to know the showers are large though - I absolutely hate it when the stall is so narrow the curtain seems to move a bit and stick to you! Eewww just writing this is grossing me out! Any way, this is a VERY first world problem. If Aqua is too $$$, I'll just suck it up and research a bit better next time. Although, in reality, the Infinity was the only ship that did the round trip Vancouver route for our dates. Thanks for your answers!
BigB0882 Posted May 21, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Last time I checked I think AQ cabins were cheaper than Concierge but it may have just been the C1 as those were aft balconies. Good luck!
Polomom Posted May 21, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 21, 2016 We were in 8163 in April. The shower was bigger than other ships - and rectangular in shape. Plenty of room so the curtain never bothered us. Dont let it worry you! Have a great trip!
Rare villauk Posted May 21, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Once you start experiencing the wonders of Alaska, shower curtains will be the last things on your mind :D.

The showers are quite large and the shower curtain is really not an issue.
