yogi636 Posted May 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2016 What can we do between getting off the ship in the morning in Miami and a 530 flight home. Also taking into account we (six of us ) will have luggage with us.
Nola26 Posted May 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Book a post cruise excursion with NCL. They manage your luggage and get you to the airport.
triptolemus Posted May 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Get drunk at the airport. Or you could go with the suggestion above in post #2. Which may be better, depending on the demographic of your group.
KyleClark Posted May 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2016 We are doing a Hop on Hop off sightseeing tour. They store your luggage and offer airport transfers. http://eng.bigbustours.com/miami/home.html#_=_

Do they have other options? Thanks for your reply

cb at sea Posted May 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Compare the price of a post-cruise excursion, to a "day room" at a hotel, to booking an earlier flight...take the cheaper option! You are likely to be OFF the ship well before 9 am.
Son of a son of a ... Posted May 27, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 27, 2016 I think by that point my liver will be shot and I need to start detoxing! Don't worry ... if you drink fast, you can start detoxing sooner.
Rare BirdTravels Posted May 27, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Rent a car at the port. Do "whatever" and drop your car at the airport at 3:30 for your 5:00 flight.
fshagan Posted May 27, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 27, 2016 We rented a car for the day from National Car Rental at MIA. We were actually flying out of Ft Lauderdale, but you can return to that airport without a "drop off" fee. National has a large bus that picks you up outside the terminal and takes you to the rental counter. We had to show a copy of our rental reservation in order to get on the bus. The bus is large enough for all your luggage. We then traveled down the Florida Keys just to see some of the over-water highway, stopped in Islamorada at a few touristy places and saw quite a bit of wildlife, headed back up and had lunch and still made our 4 PM flight in plenty of time in Ft. Lauderdale ... which is about 25 - 40 minutes away from MIA. A SUV will cost you about $200 for a Saturday in July. It's a great option.
