Ketchikan dock repairs completed

Apparently the dock that was damaged by the Celebrity Infinity will be usable starting tomorrow. A big relief for us, as we're on the Nieuw Amsterdam next week, and it uses berth 3.

That's great news. Article noted that on one day there are 6 ships in Ketchikan and if the dock repairs were not completed, three would have to tender. I've never seen more than 4 at a time. Perhaps the 6 ships are staggered

Awsome news! We will be on the same cruise. We know we have to tender in Juneau, and would not want to have to tender again in Ketchikan.

We just got off the Nieuw Amsterdam. We docked at the repaired pier at Ketchikan day before yesterday. We also docked at Juneau. No tendering at all.

Good to get confirmation about the dock repair! The Nieuw Amsterdam is tendering in Juneau every other week (switching off with the Celebrity Solstice) because there isn't enough dock space for all the ships in port on Thursdays. So you didn't tender, but we will.
