Cruise deals on RCCL

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone knows of a website to find last minute cruise deals on RCCL. For example, if a travel agent has unsold space within a group booking that is a really good deal, is there somewhere they advertise these specials online?

The PDF file usually changes every Thursday afternoon:

Thank you! Those specials are through RCI still? I was wondering if individual travel agents have a website where they can advertise deals that they have on certain sailings? I know that agents can book lots of cabins and many times the price goes up with RCI and the agency is still holding the lower priced ones until deposits are due and then they lose them. It would be nice if there was a website where they could advertise them.

We aren't allowed to post individual travel agents or agencies here on Cruise Critic...

I know that they cannot do it on cruisecritic but I wondered if there was a website where they can.

Yes many Cruise Specialist TA' s may have Group Space blocked when the rates were lower , that is lower than current cruise line rates and may offer additional amenities .

Most cruise lines do not permit them to advertise these lower rates so you must contact them for those price quotes.

However , they must return their unbooked group space prior to final payment ( or even sooner if sailing is booking well and cruise line wants them back)

There are several...but as I said...it is against Cruise Critic rules for us to post them....

I asked my travel agent if there were any deal during the summer and I got the last cabin out of the group rate. Just ask you travel agent or others if they have a group rate. I didn't know until I ask!

I think we had a TA mention that unsold cabins go back to RCI around 60 days out (this was back in the days when final payment was at 75 days out). Back when there were drops after final payment that occurred around 60 days out - not sure if that was coincidental with the return of unsold cabins but it made sense. Not sure what the timing of the return of unsold cabins is now - any TA want to weigh in?

If the deal was that good and the Travel Agency had it's marketing act together, it would not be unsold at the last minute.

TA group space is recalled back to the cruise lines 120 to 150 days before the sailing date.
