kimber7095 Posted July 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Hello! I wondered at what point I should call and ask if upgrades are available for a good deal?? I cruise in February on the Norwegian Epic. Thanks a bunch! Kim
Clarea Posted July 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2016 You might also try asking on the dedicated NCL forum here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
bearette Posted July 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2016 You can check yourself on the website daily, or as often as you choose, to see if the price goes down. After final payment is when prices unusually go down, but it isn't always the case. It's all a supply and demand thing.
CruiserBruce Posted July 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Each cruise line is different. So the NCL board could be helpful here. Be aware, if you call at the wrong time, there is the probable response that you will need pay the going rate. Just for your info, if you pay for it, it is an "upsell". If it is free, it is an "upgrade".

Kim Your TA should call you if the cruise line is offering upgrades or other cabin/cruise changes that might be a beneficial option for you. idraconis Posted July 22, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2016 When you find out let know. Been on 11 carnival cruises and never got an upgrade. Hamas luck I guess.
Rare cbr663 Posted July 22, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I would also suggest that you keep note of all the prices of the various cabins when you booked. Many times the cruise lines will offer upgrade offers that are the same price as when you booked. Not much of an offer when you could have selected it yourself when you placed your booking.
