zqvol Posted July 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2016 What a shame but we need to remember that working at sea is a very dangerous profession. (Not for the hotel employees, but for the seamen).
Rare mking8288 Posted July 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) OP, news been posted 3 days ago both here and on CC's Bermuda forum - are you or someone you know currently onboard the BA; and, just found out about it ? One passenger on the BA posted that those onboard had no idea about the accident, unless someone happened to witnessed it and/or read the local new on Royal Gazette (which also mentioned that there're 4,300 pax on this particular sailing ... and, that's a "low" number on a typical summer cruise out of NYC. It's usually closer to 4,700 to 4,900 or even more.) One of the crew member had been flown to the U.S. for medical treatment while the other 2 had been discharged from the hospital back to the ship.
