Second Seating Time

It's been some years since we did traditional dining so I think the schedule might have changed.

 

Is second (late) seating at 8 or 8:30--and is this standard fleet-wide or does it vary depending on ship and itinerary?

It can vary by ship but those are the two standard times that will be used.

While Harmony is in Barcelona second seating is 8.45pm :) That's different to the norm though...

I was surprised that Brilliance is 9pm ( Europe) have never seen it that late on a cruise before

Europeans eat MUCH later than Americans.....so when in that section of the world, they try to accommodate the late dinnertimes. 8:30 is about the latest you'll see on a Caribbean or Alaskan cruise...

The last few cruises I've taken (mainly Caribbean with one Europe trip) it's been 8:30pm. I haven't seen an 8pm second seating for quite a few years.

We were on Grandeur / Bermuda two years ago that had 5:30 and 8:00.
