Swissmiss6253 Posted August 6, 2016 #76 Share Posted August 6, 2016 Whenever I was not carrying a bag, which was most of the time on the ship but never off the ship, I wore a lanyard. I used it as a measure of weeding out the shallow. If they avoided me because I was crass, or tacky or - the ultimate sin - old, then it saved me the bother of freezing them out.
dsotm73 Posted August 6, 2016 #77 Share Posted August 6, 2016 What if you have a bathing suit that isn't big enough to fit a S&S card? [emoji41] Then post pictures here and we'll help you figure it out! :D

tandemcruzr Posted August 6, 2016 #81 Share Posted August 6, 2016 I'm a guy and my S&S card stays in my pocket and my wallet stays in the cabin safe. No lanyards for me. :)
summersigh Posted August 6, 2016 #82 Share Posted August 6, 2016 All my daytime clothes have pockets and if my evening wear does not then DH slips it into his pocket for me. Lanyards just don't do it for me LOL On the ship I carry no purse - just my s&s card ..... and on shore excursions just a light day bag - and in my pocket a small amount of cash, 1 credit card and along with my s&s card and DL. sun_lovin!1 Posted August 6, 2016 #85 Share Posted August 6, 2016 Definitely on a lanyard. That way when I'm stumbling back to my room in the wee hours of the morning i don't have to worry about whether or not i lost my card. All i have to worry about is checking my account the next morning to see how many beverages i purchased for my new friends made the night before 😀
buddylover Posted August 6, 2016 #86 Share Posted August 6, 2016 While on the ship (I do not carry a purse or anything around the ship) I use a very pretty necklace type lanyard that I bought years ago at Brighton...it just has a clip to hold S&S card, not a plastic holder...and the reason I like a clip (you have to punch a hole in S&S card to fit the clip) is you do not have to keep taking it out of the sticky plastic pocket holder to swipe it all the time. You just keep it on the long necklace holder and swipe it while wearing it. When going off the ship, I either hide it under my shirt instead of wearing it exposed on the outside, or I do change to the stretchy one from the casino and attach it to the tote I carry off the ship and hide it in a zipper pocket...but it is easy to 'fish' out of the tote as I attach the clip end of it to the tote's straps. elainmir Posted August 6, 2016 #90 Share Posted August 6, 2016 I bought a waterproof DRYPAK ( they come in various sizes) on Amazon. I put cash/copies of passports/SS cards ..throw it around my neck and under shirt. I also bough a SPI-BELT to wear under clothing ( I usually wear mine under my bra so it's not detectable) But that is hard to get your SS out of ROFL...I use it mainly to hide extra money in! Rare Saint Greg Posted August 6, 2016 #92 Share Posted August 6, 2016 What if you have a bathing suit that isn't big enough to fit a S&S card? [emoji41] Put your S&S card in one flip flop and your beverage in the other.
Rare patrice1 Posted August 6, 2016 #93 Share Posted August 6, 2016 Always have a beach bag, on or off the ship, with a zippered pocket for my S&S card. On the ship in the evening, I either have a cross body (small) purse or DH puts it in his pocket.
soozles Posted August 7, 2016 #94 Share Posted August 7, 2016 I hate the lanyard. I wear my work id on a lanyard and wearing one on vacation just reminds me of work. If I don't have a pocket, I carry a little wristlet and put my card and whatever little odds and ends I need.
jmcancruise Posted August 7, 2016 #95 Share Posted August 7, 2016 DH and I always use lanyards. I'm old enough and have cruised enough that I could care less what anyone thinks. They are convenient. When we go to supper in the evening DH puts them in his suit pocket.

Not me, our cards! :D Incognito; don't need my info or name showing. :) Haven't actually been facedown on a table in a long, long time. :D I knew you were referencing your S&S cards. Just didn't understand why it had to be face down. I get the thought process about a credit card, but a S&S card? But hey, conspiracy theories abound so I guess it takes all kinds of mindsets Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app Edited August 7, 2016 by First and Ten
