Anyone knows why JEWEL skipped Skagway thursday ? She sailed from TracyArm Glacier wednesday evening and proceeded straight down to

Victoria ( her regular Friday hours...but yesterday, thursday )and on to Seattle with a regular arrival this morning ( instead of tomorrow).Still docked as at 5;30pm. Her speed down from TracyArm to Victoria certainly eliminates any ''mechanical/propulsion''problems as she topped at 22.2kn.

Inquiring mind is wondering...

cheers

;)

Yes, She came into Seattle this morning and is scheduled to leave late tomorrow afternoon.

She has a problem with one of the azipods. Divers were int water today working to fix the problem.

She would normally dock in Skagway on Wednesday.

Yes, we returned to Seattle a day early due to an issue discovered during her last voyage. The only Skagway we saw was the otter at the Seattle Aquarium and a large percentage of excursions were cancelled in Juneau due to the fog. So it's been a bummer of a trip for us. Channel7 in Seattle got involved and got us 1/7th of the trip refunded due to the early return to Seattle. Thankful for that

In the week before the sailing there was an enormous thread on here about missing Skagway. You could almost say that there was a "verbal" riot over the offer that NCL made. Finally a Seattle TV station was involved and NCL "did the right thing" upping the offer to 1/7th of the cruise cost.

Sorry about the cancellation, and the refund consolation
