kelzow Posted September 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Glad we elect not to Cruise during hurricane season. The official hurricane season for the Atlantic Basin (the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico) is from 1 June to 30 November. As seen in the graph above, the peak of the season is from mid-August to late October. However, deadly hurricanes can occur anytime in the hurricane season. reedprincess Posted September 30, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Glad we elect not to Cruise during hurricane season. Hurricanes can happen any time...Hurricane Alex this year was in January - started the "season" off just a bit earlier than normal... Matthew passed us yesterday as a strong tropical storm and some damage done across the island with flooding, landslides and such - with it intensifying to a hurricane, those countries in its path need to be prepared! You have a cruise booked for September, 2017. Now do you realize how foolish your statement is. Edited September 30, 2016 by Moltar
