Micahs Grandad Posted September 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2016 $59 us Wonder how much you save by taking train to London and than the tube? Wow someone is going to be cruising a lot in the next year:):)
DrivesLikeMario Posted September 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2016 This is one place that Princess does transfers really well. They are super efficient. The buses load fast (unlike other ports) and off you go! Just make sure you're on the right bus because they're broken down by terminals sometimes and there will also be a bus or two to Victoria Station and LGW. Wow someone is going to be cruising a lot in the next year:):) You do save a lot but it's much more of a hassle. You have to take a taxi (or walk a long way dragging your luggage behind you) to the train station in SoTon, then the train, then transfer to the Tube, for which you will need another ticket/pass. If you've got the time and don't mind the extra work, it's a great option. For me, I just want the easiest option at the end of my cruise and don't want to risk getting to my flight on time, but I know a lot of people have done it the train way and been satisfied. hpeabody Posted September 30, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Is the return transfer available through shore excursions on the ship? (Thinking OBC) I really do not like Princess transfers, but this seems like a place it may be wise to use it.

They will hand you the voucher when done in person, or sent to your cabin when done online.
porridgeuk Posted September 30, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 30, 2016 A train or private transfer would cost an awful lot more than the princess costs, train to London can cost £65 and transfer about £80....you have a great deal with the princess transfers

Rare TracieABD Posted September 30, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 30, 2016 Slightly off topic, but if you decide to do a private transfer- do not use British Airport Transport. We prepaid AND they stood us up. PayPal had to go after them for a refund. That was no fun..

I had that happen once and it really ticked me off.
